Bought this because it had a Save $1.00 coupon, and it was decently priced (about four dollars) and I had been paying 30 at the salon. I have a perm (yes, they still do perms haha), so I was looking for some good hold with frizz control for winter humidity. I know it is max hold, but it left my hair crispy (I have had max hold and still touchable curls). I have had the 'wet' look gels - I'm not sure what their idea of 'smooth' is, but this just made my hair look greasy - I had applied at ends and scrunched, and it just made my just washed hair like I hadn't washed it in a few days.
