Great when on sale

We love dates in our house. We use it as a snack with peanut butter, use it to make cookies or energy balls and also put chop it up in salads or oatmeals and cereals. I first tried this brand when it was only sale for $10 at food basic and knew that it was a good deal. It lasted me 6 months in the fridge without going bad or getting too dry. I highly recommend it!

I found these dates at Food Basics and they're also available at Metro here in Ontario. These are the very best dates I have ever tasted. It comes in a 1kg square tub for 5.99 at Metro and 4.99 at Food Basics but they seldom carry them so I get them at Metro. The dates are very moist and taste great. I use them in muffins, I eat them right out of the tub, I chop them up on top of cereal, and I make date squares with them. Dates are high in fiber and are good for you. They do contain a fair bit of natural sugar because it is after all a dried fruit. I keep them in the fridge, they seem to taste better cold. I've tried dates from other suppliers and I much prefer these ones. I highly recommend them.
