This is a fantastic monitor. I love every feature on it - night light and music (it provides a selection of lullabies) in particular. You can set the sensitivity and volume very easily and the temperature sensor is a very useful feature. The only thing I wish it had is more control from the parent unit so I could adjust the music's volume and start or shut off the music without entering baby's room. I haven't tested exactly how far the distance will go, but it works perfectly when I'm out in the backyard and in the 8 months that I've been using it the battery life is still great.
