I love Philosophy's When Hope Is not Enough serum. I order it through QVC and it's a tad pricey, but well worth it. I use it at night after I cleanse my face. I apply this serum and then my moisturizer. Serums always go on 1st. I rotate my moisturizers, because I don't want my skin getting use to 1 product and after time, it doesn't do the same job as before.
I LOVEEE this serum! It's technically an oil which is choc full of Omega 3-6-9. My skin is super sensitive and is usually combination-dry but during the winter tends to be more on the dry side so I like to use facial oils at night to add some extra moisture. When I started using this oil I had a bit of flakiness on my forehead and my pores were pretty big. Ever since I started using this though I've noticed that my skin is MUCH smoother and much more hydrated and it has a really nice glow. I'm in my mid-twenties and would normally not be inclined to purchase a pricey serum because for the most part my skin is pretty good, but after using this I've noticed such a wonderful change in my skin that I will definitely repurchase it!
I found this at Winners a few weeks back and didn't think much of it, I've never used a serum before but thought I'd give it a try (I'm only mid-twenties, but I guess it can't hurt right?) . I began using it right away in my evening routine, after washing my face I apply this first, then my moisturizer. The serum is easy to apply, it comes in a cute little jar and you apply a few drops with the dropper and rub in. When I first started using it I noticed a light stinging, but this has since gone away (I'm guessing as my skin adapts to it). It absorbs instantly and makes my skin really smooth. I've been struggling lately with uneven texture, and I find every exfoliant I use causes me to break out, which is a huge bummer. So I'm very glad to say that this is totally working to even my texture out. I also notice my skin is brighter, not as oily, and my pores are very tight. I don't have any wrinkles yet, so I can't say how effective this is in that regard, but I've gotten many compliments on how bright I look lately and I think I owe that to this little guy.
Again, I found this at Winners for $4, and after looking up the retail price ($50!) I can say this was the find of the year. I'm not too sure if I would pay that much to repurchase, since this is the first serum I've tried I may seek out a less expensive one for my next bottle, but if you've got the cash I would definitely recommend this beauty.
