Proactiv Refining Mask

I bought the cleanser, toner, lotion and refining mask out of all I only still use the refining mask. The mask works to visibly reduce my pimples over night, I generally use as a spot treatment and leave on over night and wash off in the morning and they're not gone in the morning but have noticeable shrunk. I've used products from my dr that burn my face and work maybe a little better but not much than this gentle mask.

My brother uses Proactive, and has multiples of this mask. He gave me one, and I love it! I use every couple weeks as mask on my forehead, nose and chin, and use it as a spot treatment whenever I see a pimple coming. It is VERY strong, and I nice had a reaction using the Vasanti scrub the day after I had used this mask. It can also be very drying. It does however make your pores less visible and your skin glow.

I've been using Proactiv for years, and am a huge fan! I love the Refining Mask, as a little goes a long way. I don't use it all over my face, but simply as a spot treatment. If I see a pimple forming, I'll simply dab on a little of this mask, go to sleep and wash it off in the morning.. The pimple is instantly less noticeable, it's fabulous!

This refining mask is amazing. If you have a pimple that's about to show up you can instantly get rid of it by just dabbing it on your face before you go to bed and when you wake up it is seriously gone! Of course you should use the whole 3 step kit to keep your skin looking fresh and natural without having to wear makeup. I swear by proactiv and wouldn't use anything else on my face. if you want to get rid of blemishes overnight,this is the mask for you!!!! you are supposed to apply it,wait for 10 minutes,and rinse it off,but i find that leaving it on your blemishes overnight gets rid of them almost completely by the morning. it may cost more than a drugstore mask but it is well worth it considering how fast you see results :)

This mask often comes as the free ad-on with the Proactiv products. It is thick, white and smelly. It makes sense that its smelly since its a sulfur base. It really does shrink down any bumps on my face and makes my skin feel smooth and taught. I don't generally sleep with it... when I do my skin is over-dry and has a white coat which is hard to remove.I think overnight it would be best as a spot treatment, while I use it globally for 15-30 minutes. A little goes a long way, so it lasts. Since it works I'm giving it good marks, but its not the most fun product to use.

Bottom line This stuff does not work at all. I used it on a fairly bad breakout, I washed my face and put it on before bed and woke up excited to see what it had done, I was disappointed. Nothing happened at all. It was like I put some white paste on my skin and when I washed it off naturally it didn't change a thing, and on top of that it dried my skin up. Moving on to shock number two. I looked at the ingredients in the refining mask and the ones in my CVS purifying mask (the green mud stuff) It's the same stuff. The only difference is that the proactive doesn't dry up so you can wear it overnight. Save your money and don't wait for shipping just go get some mask form CVS. Very disappointed. Do not buy.

I really like this stuff. Ive only used it as a mask a few times. I prefer to use it as an overnight spot treatment. I dab it on my zits before bed and in the morning, everything is shrunk and less red. It stinks like sulfur though, so I have to listen to my husbands complaints, but its well worth it!
