Pure Protein Chocolate Peanut Butter

I tried PURE PROTEIN BAR CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER after my workout as my boyfriend buys them in bulk from COSTCO and he really enjoys them. I had never heard of the brand before but 20g of protein seemed like a great amount so I gave it a try. Upon grabbing a bar I thought they were so small but much to my surprise they are actually quite thick and extremely filling. I almost couldn't finish the thing because it filled me right up... even after I had just worked out! Another positive to the bar is that there is only 2g of sugar and 200 calories. I was impressed.

I don't like the fact that it contains sucralose - the aftertaste is so terrible and it is so bad for you. I also did not like the taste. It was dry and chalky like many protein bars and was very hard for me to choke down. The peanut taste was artifical almost but the chocolate was awesome! I personally would maybe try this again if I needed something in a pinch but I would prefer other ways of obtaining my protein after a workout or for a quick snack.

Effective at stopping your hunger

I found that this product had a good taste. I'm not a huge fan of the taste of protein powder but, with the combination of peanut butter and chocolate it helped to mask that taste.
