Sally Hansen Insta-Dri

Really love that it dries fast, love the PINKS! One bad thing though that I do wash my hands a lot and on the first day that I did my nails, later on the day I noticed that the nail polish was coming off a bit, but that's not a big problem for me so I would still recommend the Sally Hansen Insta-Dri and I will still purchase them.

I use this polish when I want to be creative and have little time or patience to have my nails dry.

The colour selection in the Insta-Dri collection is amazing, and I don't mind that it doesn't last more than a week, because the variety and speed of application makes it worth it! To make it last a little longer, I use a good top coat.

I was drawn to this line of nail polishes because they have vibrant matte shades. I felt like trying something different so I chose Lightening which is a bright yellow. I was very happy with the application – it has a very unique wide brush that really does coat your whole nail. It takes a little getting used to but it is effective. The best part is that it really does dry (almost) instantly. AND it is nice and thick, so in one coat you have a beautiful opaque colour. The only drawback of the thickness of the polish itself is that I found it chipped a lot faster than other nail polishes do.

Overall this is a quality product if you want to try a rich vibrant colour and don’t have time to sit around waiting for your nails to dry. If you’re looking for longevity though, I would look elsewhere.

Awhile back I started giving my toes a little more love when I do at-home pedicures. I soak them, apply cuticle remover and push back the cuticles, and use base coat and top coat with the polish. While the only thing that usually catches my eye when it comes to nail polish is colour, I've been able to better compare the quality of each brand now that I'm always doing the pedicure the same way.

Yesterday I picked up Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Fast Dry Nail Color in Petal Pusher, a lovely ballet pink that's opaque without looking heavy. So far, I love this product. The application brush is super broad and applies a nice thick coat of polish in a couple of strokes, and it really does dry right away. There's no need for a second coat, so it takes a lot less time overall. The surface was so smooth and polished I almost skipped the top coat, but for the sake of experiment I used it.

Now the test will be how well it wears, but I honestly won't mind the occasional touch up since it dries so fast and the colour is so pretty. In the long long term, I could see a thick polish like this becoming unmanageable, so I'll keep an eye on that too. To be continued!

I absolutely LOVE the nail polishes and the variety of colours it comes in. they're really bright bold colours for the summer, and i love how they dont have a pearly-sheen to them or glitter.

dries in about 30 seconds, its amazing. plus it has a very wide brush so i can get most of my nail painted in one try. i also love it because i like flat colors without sparkle and it comes in many flat colors like pink, yellow, white, and so on.
