This is a pretty chunky ring, but while there's a good weight to it, it's not overly heavy. The benefit of it being stainless steel, is it didn't turn my finger green at all. it was very comfortable to wear and could be worn by a man or a woman, though it's a masculine design.

What you see is what you get with this ring, exactly as pictured. I like that there are indents at the top to make the shield shape, which gives it a bit of visual interest when seen from above on the finger. I also like that the back is solid and not indented or molded like some cheaper rings with a design. The two-tone has a lovely contrast.

Great ring for a man or a woman's thumb ring.
