If you've never used these for anything, lemme tell you what they do. It's essentially a stitch picker. You use the long part to hook under a stitch (for example, holding on a clothing tag) and push it down to the sharp bit which will cut the stitch. Much safer and easier to use for the job than scissors and really handy for many quick fabric related jobs around the house.
