A great film that might leave you in tears at the end, it's a funny but sad movie. I've watched it many times since it came out and still do from time to time.

Such a great movie. I seen this movie at the cinema with my stepson. We both thought it was a feel good comedy and it did start off that way but it quickly changed and the tears began and we were scrounging around for tissue. Oh so sad but worth watching. It is about a relationship that develops between a step-mom, step-children and their mom. Such a great movie.

This makes me cry every single time!

Only giving low rating for now. Watched the movie and didn't realize there was a book. Now want to read.

A truly inspiring movie about a woman with a terminal illness that forms a bond with her children's step mother. The 2 women realize that the children are more important than petty differences. They end up as great friends. It's a heart warming movie about what life teaches you in hard times.

This is a great story but so very sad.

Susan Sarandon gives a brilliant performance as the terminally ill mother who is having a hard time accepting that her children will have a new stepmom. Such a bittersweet story that pulls at the heart strings. A superb cast that bring this difficult to light with such honesty and integrity.
