Best popcorn popper ever! I'd have two of those aluminum things in the past and the gears wear out and popcorn burns . . . don't waste your money on those. Go straight to the heavy duty, all stainless steel Whirlypop. The price is about twice those cheap ones, but the entire system is so well designed and it's built so sturdy, it will last you for the rest of your life! The bottom of the pot is heavy duty and I haven't even scorched a single kernal since I bought it. I haven't tried 'candied' corn in it yet, but the staff at the kitchen store where I bought it all said they own this same popper and they all have had no problems with sugared corns, etc. It cleans up like a dream. I love, love, love this popper and I highly recommend it. Worth every penny.
Note: the same company also makes the cheap tin ones, but don't be fooled. Look for the one in the picture and you won't go wrong.
