Just not worth the price tag

I purchased this product a few months ago, but only started wearing it recently - not makeup needed during covid! I was excited because I love Tarte makeup and had heard great reviews. Unfortunately, the best I can say is "it's not bad." I do like the shape of the brush, and how easy it is to get full coverage, but this does absolutely nothing different than drug store mascara. I also find that it tends to smudge along my upper eyelid while I'm putting it on, which can be a pain if you're in a rush.

I will use the rest of my product, but it is too expensive to repurchase for the results I got.

I tried to love it

Tarte for me has always been hit and miss. This mascara is a MISS. I found it clumpy, flakey, almost glue like. Within 10 minutes I had raccoon eyes. Not for me.

Not super impressed

First off, I want to talk about the brush. I LOVE the size and shape. It's volumizing but not too big like what I see with other volumizing mascaras out there. It's perfect for getting all my lashes because it tapers at the end and I don't get mascara all over my lids when I apply this.

The problem is the performance of the actual mascara. It's mediocre at best for volumizing and lengthening and does not hold my curl at all. It's also not very black so my lashes are not very noticeable when I wear this. I also get smearing on my undereyes when I work out with this mascara on.

Luckily I only purchased the mini version. I'll probably re-use the brush with another mascara when this runs out!

Not what I was hoping

I didn’t have the best luck with this mascara. I found it irritated my eyes and didn’t give me much in terms of length or volume. It just gave me a darker lash but seemed pretty natural compared to other mascaras I’ve tried in the past.

Underwhelming

For a natural look sure, but it doesn’t do much more than what my natural lashes do themselves. Although I do like how it defines your lashes, it’s just not the product for me.

Not worth it

I was underwhelmed by this mascara. It doesn't give me the length, curl, or volume that I want. Not worth the money as there are much better drugstore alternatives.

Mascara

I was not at all a fan of this mascara. I found mascara to be lumpy and the applicator/handle was awkward to hold making it difficult to apply precisely.

Nice Product

I think this is a good mascara but it isn't my favorite. I find that the formula is kind of dry and it can make my lashes feel kind of stiff. But my lashes do look pretty long but not very voluminous. But it doesn't seem to have any flakey fall out like some mascaras can have and it stays put most of the day. It also doesn't make my sensitive eyes itch or water.

Good, but not the best

It works well enough, my lashes look nice when I use it but it's definitely not my favourite mascara. I wanted to try it out. I find the formula to be a little on the dry side, it takes a few coats to achieve a nice enough look also. At least it doesn't clump! It makes my lashes look fuller but it doesn't give much length to them nor does it have a curling effect. Still better than drugstore mascara though!

Mascara

À ma première utilisation, je l'ai trouvé ordinaire et je trouve qu'il a de meilleurs mascara en pharmacie, moin cher d'ailleurs. Donc je pense que ça ne vaut pas nécessairement la peine, mais il travail quand même bien. Il allonge bien les cils et la brosse permet de bien les séparer. La tenue est bonne.
