Been using this for years

I have enjoyed using this product for over 20 years, whenever my hair starts to feel dry or damaged out comes this shampoo! I used it on kids when they were little too and now they use it as adults!

Eco friendly!

I absolutely adore all food scented bath and body products and The Body Shop has all sorts of them. When I was shopping at their store one day I came across their Banana Shampoo. I was a bit hesitant at first, thinking that a banana scented shampoo could be a bit nasty but thankfully I opened the sample bottle and took a sniff. Then I grabbed a bottle for myself and rushed to the checkout! I could not wait to get home and use it!

The shampoo smells just like bananas. Actually, more like a banana baby food. Either way it's a light banana scent and in no way overwhelming. It also does not seem to linger on your hair after you use it, which was sort of a bummer to discover.

As a shampoo it works very well, even on my thick hair. It is great for all hair types and cleans oily and sweaty hair wonderfully without drying.

I definitely recommend this awesome shampoo, especially when used with The Body Shop's other banana products!

Worst shampoo ever

I have been suffering from hair dryness for few months. So was trying to find out a good hydrating shampoo. Mostly natural shampoo. So I went to the body shop store and was recommended to try the banana shampoo for dry hair. So I bought the biggest bottle they have.
I started using that shampoo and I felt I have bought the worst shampoo ever. It has made my hair so rough and dry instead of making it hydrated and smooth. I tried it few more times and each time I have the same experiences. I just hate this shampoo.

Average Shampoo

This used to be one of my favorite products which worked great on my thin curly hair. However I just learnt that body shop has changed it's ingredients without letting it's community know about which is pretty unfair considering the brand loyalty I had for them. Anyways I'm on the lookout for something new which makes my hair shine like this one used to. Bye bye banana shampoo.

Great & Fruity Scent- Fresh Hair!

I received this shampoo as a gift, so I am not sure about the price, but I am really impressed with this shampoo, and I think that the size of the bottle is perfect for traveling and going to the gym. The shampoo is great for cleaning your hair and leaves a nice banana/ fruity smell to it!

It smells just like bananas 🍌 so great for those who love fruity scents. It’s good for dry hair. I like to use it after swimming. I’d recommend it and will definitely repurchase.

Average shampoo

I bought this shampoo based off really positive online reviews but I personally found that the shampoo really dried my hair out :( It smells pretty nice but it just didn't really work for my hair.

Great scent

I love this trio but I do find the shampoo a little drying. This can be combatted by using both the conditioner and the mask. Does remove hair colour gradually. (Great if you’re looking for this effect)

Nice natural shampoo

My hair is pretty long and it can get frizzy / a bit brittle after shampooing, but my bangs get oily really quickly so I'm picky about using shampoo that doesn't dry out my hair. The banana shampoo is a kind of small bottle so I don't think I would buy it at full price. I recommend picking it up during a sale (which the Body Shop has really frequently). It's yellow colored and has a kind of gooey consistency but smells great and lathers really well.

This is a staple!

I’ve purchased redken and many expensive hairdresser products to have only wasted my $$ and been disappointed. My hair is *extremely oily & greasy* and with this shampoo & conditioner combo I can make it to through a second day, using dry shampoo. It smells absolutely fantastic. The packaging is a little difficult as it’s short and stubby and would benefit from being taller and narrower but that’s minor. The cost is what I would consider average at 11.50 CAD plus tax per bottle and using on a BOGO sale of some kind.
