The Doors is one of my favorite music rock bands of all time. This movie portrays the life of s larger than life rock star in 1960's - 1970's. #JimMorrison is played by actor #ValKilmer who played a very accurate portrait of free love, drug use,and rock & rolls lifestyle of Jim Morrison whos life came to a tragic end at the young age of 27. #MegRyan played Jim's girlfriend Pamela who died a few years later. This movie was done so close to the real life of Jim Morrison. Great true to life Movie. A must see.

After a psychedelic experience in the California desert, Jim Morrison (Val Kilmer), lead singer of The Doors, and his bandmates begin performing in Los Angeles and quickly become a sensation. However, when Jim begins ditching his musical responsibilities and his girlfriend, Pamela (Meg Ryan), in favor of his dangerous addictions and the affections of the seductive, occult-obsessed Patricia (Kathleen Quinlan), the band starts to worry about their leader.

Val Kilmer gives a brilliant performance of the talented and troubled Jim Morrison. He literally became Jim Morrison in this movie. A great cast that brought to life a band that changed history with their music. A sad story of a life cut too short. An honest portrayal of a musical group who came together to make music during a time where drug addictions were running rampant. An interesting movie with great timeless music.
