Every summer I go through a phase when I read a lot. So, like everyone who reads a lot, I went through a "classics" phase. I absolutely fell in love with this book. The heroine Lily Bart is tragic, a little shallow and you can't help but want things to work out for her. It's Romeo and Juliet -esque ending had me in tears.
