This is Lena Dunham's breakthrough film made in 2010 before her successful HBO series Girls. It's written, directed, and starring Ms. Dunham. It's a pre-cursor leading up to Girls. You can see some similarities between this film to her current series. It stars her real life mom and sister (as the role of her mom and sister) plus some familiar characters who are now on the show. She writes about coming home after graduating from college and trying to re-adjust to life at home. The DVD has a great highlight with Ms. Dunham in an interview with her mentor- directer Nora Ephron. Plus some experimental extras. It explains what influenced her creative process. Worth checking out if you're a fan.
