I received my Vanilla Cream Lip Shimmer from the Turner Soap Company for free to try out. The Turner Soap Company is a Canadian business located in NB and all of their product prices are in Canadian funds. Their lip balms sell for $6.49 witch I agree is pretty pricey for a lip balm. They say on their wed site that this lip balm will leave a light shimmer and a vanilla scent to your lips. That vanilla is suggested to help damaged due to dry skin because vanilla is supposed to be calming. This lip balm is made from organic coconut oil, bees wax, castor oil, lanolin, jojoba oil, avocado oil, vitamin E oil, honey, vanilla 10 fold and shimmer mica, what ever that is.LOL I wasn’t happy with this lip balm at all! I sure won’t be ordering this lip balm from them and it’s not because of the high price. I’m more then willing to pay for something that I enjoy and that I feel works for me. How ever this lip balm just didn’t cut it for me. As soon as I tried to apply it to my lips it just crumbled and it wasn’t because it was dried out. I had noticed before I first tried it that it wasn’t in the tub evenly and was sunk in the center and higher up around its edges. I thought that could have been why it crumbled like it did when I first tried it. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case because I levelled it off and then tried it again, but it still crumbled when I tried to apply it. Yes it smells nice, but it useless if you can’t apply it. I’m not sure if this was just a faulty batch, or if all of their lip shimmer lip balm act this way, but I’m sure not going to spend that much money on a new lip shimmer to find out. For this reason I wouldn’t recommend Turner Soap Company Vanilla Cream Lip Shimmer, or any of their other five scented lip shimmers.
