Been using this for a couple years now. Use as my foundation - very sheer (I don't like the feeling of most foundations - too heavy). Does not provide full coverage, but I just use a concealer stick to help with that. Like how it leaves my skin feeling. Also bonus that there is some SPF protection. I still need to use additional sunscreen if I am going to be outside.
I bought this product during the summer after being convinced BB creams were the way to go- also because it has SPF within it. I was a bit skeptical at first knowing that usually products with SPF in them make me break out, but after using it throughout the summer I had great skin. After I stopped using it I noticed that my skin when back to being quite red, so I do believe that it does help even skin tone. It also applies very well (I have very pale skin and the light shade worked well for me)
When using it, I noticed that it blurs my large pores very well and doesn't stick to dry spots. Therefore I think it is a great purchase.
The only downside is the lack of colour varieties- especially if you have a darker skin tone.
This is a fantastic product a little pricey but well worth it, it makes fine lines disappear & you look much younger. Love it.
I cannot begin to say how great this is! I have very fair skin with no acne and this cream matched the colour of my skin. I have tried so many bb creams and tinted moisturizers and none have been this good. They have either come off in an hour, not been the right shade or didn't cover any uneven skin tones and imperfections. This cream does it all and I'm so happy I have found the one! No horrid smell and it is so light and smooth, more people need this if you don't like the cakey look! You can build on it if you need to but this is now my go to foundation, moisturizer, you name it!
I first tried this product from a lovely cosmetician at a store who insisted I take the samples and try it out. So, I did! I did not read about what the product said it could or could not do, or what was so great about it, I simply used this cream as I would use normally. I put it on as moisturizer and under my make-up. I personally loved this BB cream. I found it light and had good coverage. I tried the light-medium, and I have medium tan skin, so it would appear that the colour would not work, but it blended in perfectly and seamlessly for me. I found I could use it as a foundation (of course with lighter coverage) and just set it with a powder and bronzer, or I could use as a cream, for daily use and simple tasks (without make-up). It made my skin more smooth and seemed to even out my skintone as well. I'm not sure about all of the claims Vichy ProEven BB Cream makes, but I find that for a mineral based BB cream, this product works well, and does what a BB cream is supposed to,
The promises that the that Vichy makes in this laundry list is quite extensive and they throw around a whole lot of big words and ingredients. At first glance I am both impressed and overwhelmed by the list of things that this product is supposed to do for my face. ”Instant perfection for uneven skin tones” yes I did find the coverage quite nice a good mid-point between foundation and tinted moisturizer but a little hard to apply because I found it to be slightly thick. It was nice to know the vitamins in the product where there and hopefully it did provide anti-oxidants to my face. Hyaluronic acid?? I didn’t even know what that was until now. It’s been dubbed the ”key to the fountain of youth” and occurs naturally in humans and animals. It can be taken from natural sources (from rooster combs or cow eyes) or synthetic (brewed up in a lab) as well as glycerine is a hydrating substance made from animal fats or vegetable oils. While it ravels about mineral and organic UV filters I’m not sure if I was so worried about organic things that it would matter at this point after I have slathered up my face with all the other animal byproducts that most likely are not organic (please if I am wrong let me know). I used this product for 1 week and found I did not need to use an additional moisturizer and it didn’t increase the oiliness on my face.
I was very dissapointed with this BB cream. The colour was awful. I choose medium, but still it was too light. You can see a huge difference when applied. Gave me a break out, that's a big "no, no" for me.
I have been using tinted moisturizers for a while but this was my first foray into BB creams. I was pleasantly surprised at how much coverage the Vichy BB cream offered and how well it evened out my skin tone. This was also my primary need - I am fortunate to not have many problems with breakouts lately. This product also has SPF 20, is paraben-free, and non-comedogenic.
I have this product in Light/Medium, so when it is first applied it starts very pale but adjusts to a warmer tone after I have worn it for a few minutes. I have some sun damage on my skin which the cream does a great job of minimizing.
It also wears very matte, and since I have an oily t-zone this was really appreciated. I do find that after 5 or 6 hours I get a little shiny in that area, but I can blot this away without much of the product transferring off my skin. Now it's a colder time of year, so I'm interested to see how it performs during warmer, more humid seasons, but at this point it outdoes my tinted moisturizer by such a huge margin, I can't believe it took me so long to make the switch.
I recommend it!
I received Vichy ProEVEN BB Cream free from the brand to test.
