    I love to practice yoga – even if it is for 15 to 20 minute spurts to rid my body of a long day’s tension or after a long bike ride.

    Some days though, I just cannot stay in or get into certain positions – this yoga wheel has definitely allowed me to boost my Yoga power and flexibility in ways I did not feel were possible for months or years!

    The wheel itself is relatively lightweight with a nice thick foam exterior ring on top of a thick plastic inner wheel, allowing for optimal flow and movement. I am 5 feet 2 inches and 140 pounds, and was able to hold my Bridge pose for several minutes without bailing out half way through (some days are tough, especially after a 60km bicycle ride after work) . For me, the support and size of the wheel are definitely going to allow my practice to expand beyond what it already is.

    The wheel does not seem to bend or lose its perfect circular form despite my weight being on it quite a bit for certain poses. Apparently you can use this up to 300 pounds before it reaches its breaking point.

    While on the go, I just put it in my yoga bag (a reusable Lululemon bag), and it fits in with my mat, water bottle, and towel without really taking up too much real estate within the bag.

    I even brought it in to show my Chiropractor this week, and she was impressed and gave two thumbs up after testing it out. She actually encouraged me to use it in conjunction with my other physio treatments to help build up my back strength even more.

    I am so looking forward to improving my core, strength, and perfect a few new moves as shown in the handy pose guide included with the Yoga Wheel! I am definitely looking forward to attempting and succeeding at the Garland Pose (both feet on the wheel in a Crow like position)!

    I have also taken to using it after work when I get home from my long stressful ride home to stretch out in the Cobra, Shoulder Stand, and Bridge posts for a few minutes in each pose. My shoulders and back love the extra stretch I have gained from using the Wheel.

    Overall, I would highly recommend this to any Yogi, new or seasoned, as part of your normal practice. It will not only benefit your stretches, but brings challenges to a whole new level!
