Auberge du Pommier
Me and my boyfriend first visited the restaurant in May 2009 for an anniversary celebration. The service was exquisite. The waiter answered all our questions about the menu, and made great recommedations based on our preferences. When he found out that it was our first time at...

Lardon
My husband and I live in Parkdale and have always wanted to eat at Lardon since it opened last March. First impression of the restaurant is that it's very cozy and quaint. I loved that seating was limited and intimate (definitely recommend reservations!)...made it feel...

Brownes Bistro
I have only been here once (this afternoon), but I completely fell in love with my bowl of pasta. For $15, I had the tagliatelle with scallions, roasted garlic, julienne of vegetables and kalamata olives, done in a sun-dried tomato pesto. The julienne of vegetables included...

Alize Restaurant
This place has the most amazing raviolli in Toronto - I go back every couple months. Located near Yonge & Eglington, the restaurant is cozy and comfortable for a relaxing conversation with friends/date. My favourites on the menu are mussles and grilled calamari for apps, and...

Restaurant Batifol
THis is my favourite restaurant! As it says, the best French food in Chinatown. LONG winelist, great aperatifs, authentic Brittany food. Intimate surroundings. Must have: frites with tarragon mayo!

L'Entrecote St-Jean is everything you could want in a Montreal restaurant - a simple menu, great service, amazing location, good price, and delicious food.

Le Petit France
St. Mary's Rd Wonderful 5 course meal for 35.00, Unique menu, great wine. Chef cooks all meals himself, and everything is home made, from the pickles to the bread.

Vallier Restaurant
Though Vallier specializes in traditional feel good food like their famous Sheppard's pie and gourmet version of Mac 'n cheese, their burgers are extremely popular. Despite their $15 - $17 price tag. We quickly discovered why. My husband ordered a beef burger with gruyere...

Le Select Bistro
We LOVE this place. We just came here again for dinner last night with the inlaws and everything was fantastic. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I had the chicken and my inlaws had steak. Everything was delicious and the service was fantastic. The ambiance...

L'academie
I enjoyed their specials of Mussels and Pastas for $10.95 on certain days of the week. I enjoyed their variety of food as well as their friendly waiters. This place hosts big dinner parties too, which was how I was introduced to this neat restaurant.

Le Paradis
A great spot for fans of French cooking. Every meal I have had here has been great; the atmos is casual enough for a relaxed meal but sleek enough for a romatic date and the prices are reasonable. Be sure to ask about daily specials.

Café Marly
One of many Costes Brothers restaurants in the city, Café Marly is by far one of my favourites. I have been there for both lunch and dinner - and so far, lunch has been my meal of choice for a couple reasons. First, you get to eat during daylight hours which gives you the...

Sophie's Crepes
Sophie's Crepes is located in Japantown, San Francisco. This is a fairly good portrayal of crepes available in Japan. However, it is pretty much awesome. Even though there is a menu (which is filled with a bunch of choices that will make your head spin), they allow you to...

Le Cartet
We came here on the recommendation of some friends. Le Cartet is open for lunch, dinner and brunch. We were originally planning on having dinner here, but when we went by on a Wednesday night at around 8 it was pretty quiet so we came back for lunch the next day instead. Le...

Pop Bistro
This quaint little French bistro on Queen St. E is the perfect spot for a romantic date. The menu selections are few but flavorful. I ordered the terrine aux legume on potato pancake Provencal (pictured) - good but a little overwhelming - and Alex ordered the fish special...

Restaurant Mirlycourtois
I was at this restaurant for our firm's year end dinner so it wasn't a typical evening and I don't actually know how expensive the place is. What I can say is that the food was great and the atmosphere was lovely. Note that this place does not look like much from the outside...

La Palette
We were here last night. I ordered the Poulet Bonne Madam and my husband had the steak. The chicken was amazing with an incredible blackberry sauce (the french are known for their sauces). My husband's steak however was very very chewy. It must have just been a bad cut of...
