I went there one time with a friend of mine. We went for late lunch on a weekday, so it was pretty empty. Both of us really enjoyed the dishes. We ordered the Caesar Salad, Bengali Salmon and Chocolate dessert. They were all very tasty. I am a big fan on their Salmon; they had it extra spicy upon our request. The waiter was attentive and had a great chat with us since it was pretty mellow. The ambience is cozy and classy, so I really enjoyed it overal. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to go on a date or just with friends.

I have been to 5th Element a couple of times and whenever I'm there I end up having a great time, as well as great food. They are located on 1033 Bay Street. The food is kind of pricey but they have prix fixe lunch and dinner menus which are great deals! You can get a delicious 4 course dinner for $35 and a 3 course lunch for $19. They are also part of Summerlicious (food promotion event) each year so during July and August their prix fixe menus will be around 15$ for lunch and $25 for dinner. The food they serve is a mix between Indian, Mediterranean and Fusion. I went their last week for dinner. I ordered a $35 prix fixe dinner which included:

Gazpacho Chilled Soup
Half dozen oysters
Banana leaf wrapped halibut with pilaf rice
Pistachio Ice Cream

5th Element gives a good sized portions unlike some other nice restaurants. I am usually left feeling hungry after a nice dinner but I didn't even have to stop by a hot dog stand after eating at 5th Element. The only thing that would make it even better is if they were open for lunch on the weekends.

If you are looking to have a good time with friends and save some money in your wallet I would surely recommend that you try 5th Element!
