Bailey's - Winnipeg

I was also underwhelmed by this restaurant. It's located in the trendy exchange district of Winnipeg and from the outside it looks interesting. I only went in for drinks and snacks with some friends, so I didn't get a proper idea of the food. The service was slow and it was a dead night, but what we did get tasted pretty good. The ambiance was a little shabbier than I expected, considering it's prime location. I really think if the management/owners would put a little work into the place and beef up the service and food quality, this could be the hot spot downtown. For now, though, I'll take a pass.

I went here a few weeks ago and had the worst service ever! My hubby went a few weeks later (not by choice, a work thing) and also had terrible service. We were on a time constraint and the server told us that it was not a problem. We waited a long time to order drinks, didn't get our menus - I had to go and ask another server for them, then waited again to order (this time I had to flag down our server). Finally, my hubby's soup comes - it's the wrong kind (we didn't even bother to tell the server) and she doesn't bring our salads with it. We wait... and wait... it's now 5 minutes later than we needed to leave. We left $10 for the drinks - which we didn't get to finish, and walked out. I don't recommend this to anyone and will definitely not be returning ever again!
