I've been to several of these stores and found out of date food items that were for sell. I don't buy expired food of any kind. It's like a hit or miss store. To me, the prices on most items are higher than what I normally pay at a box store.

I went into our local new Big Lots store maybe expecting at least a small portion of the same experience I had in the U.S. Not so. All brands were the same as every other store already in my area. Prices matched or were higher than I pay in regular grocery stores both with the food and other products. Drink tumblers, baby blankets, pillows, patio furniture are just some of the items I can find anywhere within the same price range. The only deal we found was on a bag of candy for one dollar. The service at the counter was great though. the woman was smiling and very polite and had all the information I needed concering their new store.
