I have been going to Cute Salon for a number of years, for color, highlights and cuts, and I am very pleased with the service I receive. I get lots of compliments on my hair.

I have used many beauty salons in the Mississauga/Oakville area over several years, and i have
finally found a hairdresser that does a remarkable job whether that is styling or coloring my hair. Job well done, Thank you.

If you just want a basic hair cut, this is the place for you. No frills, blunt insults and zero customer service. It's more for guys than gals. When you go there, you will notice the difference in how you get treated based on your gender.

Thanks to those of you who recommended this place, it was truly amazing as you said it would be. I had one of the best salon experiences this weekend. I felt not only comfortable but welcomed.. And my hair looked great. I would recommend Cute Salon & Spa. It was a great experience, and definitely will go back.

I recently moved to Oakville/Missiauga area and i wanted to find a good hair salon around because a good hair do is important to me. Then a friend of mine suggested Cute salon and spa. I have been in many good salon around Toronto and i know what to expect from a good salon. Cute salon is fairly upscale salon and the stylist definitely shows professional skill and a lots of experience under her belt. I rarely change my stylist but this one is keeper.

Listen girls, Don't always believe what others say. Go out and try it and make your own opinion. You never know, you might be missing out.

Probably the rudest woman I've ever met. She shrugged her
shoulders at me twice to which I took offense to. All in all, a rude
woman that couldn't care less. Avoid.

Further to Lala's review of the Cute Salon and Spa, if you go there to get your hair done and are unfortunate enough to be her client just before a male client is due to come in, she will rush you out looking like you never went to the hairdresser in the first place. Her entire attitude changes when a man walks in and she seems to lose all interest in any woman she is attending to. Really annoying.

I recently visited Cute Salon & Spa 1140 Winston Churchill, Oakville, to have my hair highlighted. I decided on the salon because it was close by and after going into the place to ask about pricing it seemed like a fair price to pay. $75.00 for ½ head of foil highlights. Having attended hairstyling school myself I know this isn’t rocket science here, how bad could they possibly screw this up?To begin with I should have stayed away simply for the fact that in passing this place there never seems to be anyone in there (now I can see why) I went in with dark brown hair asking for some highlights on the top that were warm natural looking light brown and caramel tones. I specifically said I wanted something that looked natural and did not want it blond (I had even showed a couple of photos from one of their magazines of what I was looking for) I also asked more than once if I could have multiple shades put in and was assured this would not be a problem. My hair was going to be colored by The owner of the salon ** just as I had described and she was going to “style it nice for me”
THE HIGHLIGHTS:…The foils were put in bleach only, stayed in for only about 15 minutes and then were rinsed. At this point I thought it was time to add the color, instead I was taken to the chair where she began to blow dry my hair. When I asked her about putting the color in she said she had already done this. Since when did bleach become a hair color? At this point I still had some hope that it would turn out OK. In the end I ended up with brassy blond and orange highlights, big blobs of platinum blond in several spots on top of my head, and dark brown horizontal stripes down several of the highlights where the bleach didn’t take. To make matters worse my hair was fried and brittle.
THE STYLING…I have NEVER had my hair styled so poorly. My hair was dried about 50% at most just flipping the dryer around my head for a few minutes, no brushes or product. I then had the flat iron ran through it (still wet) When she got to styling my bangs I commented on how they were tricky to style (tricky not impossible), to which she replied “yes they are” and I guess at that point decided she couldn’t be bothered to do anything with them at all and told me I was done. Really I’m not one to spend a whole lot of time styling my hair, however I can honestly say I make a whole lot more of an effort than this, and I am not a professional getting paid for it either. This was the owner! No one else was in there, no excuse to rush like this.
THE ATMOSHERE…typical salon, nothing fancy, wasn’t offered beverages or a magazine to read. The only other client in there at the time was a friend of the other stylist’s so everyone in there spoke only polish the whole time. I found this unprofessional.

Needless to say I will not be returning to this salon. I hope this review will help others to avoid having the same experience.
