My bf gave me a wayspa gift certificate for Valentines day. I chose the Dove Spa because of their prices and proximity to my house. I had a facial, back massage, scalp massage and mani/pedi. The entire day was $135.00 and worth every penny. The service was amazing! The atmosphere was lovely. I want to go back every Sunday. They even have 'blooming tea' which is a flower of tea leaves that blooms in your cup.

A hidden uptown gem. The Dove Spa is just south of Yonge @ St Clair and is unassuming from the outside but is surprisingly calm, spacious and gracious on the inside. White is everywhere - modern zen. When you check in, you are taken to the change room with personal lockers, and comfortable spa robe and disposable slippers, you take your seat in the sleek white waiting room with the great bubble light fixture and sip on the citrus water provided.

I chose a facial, so we began with a skin analysis machine which tests the moisture, oil and dryness levels of your skin so they can choose the products for your treatment. You then can look at a 'menu' and choose what treat to add to your facial. The first treat is free and any others you add will have a nominal cost ($10). I chose oxygenation treatment and a scalp/neck massage. The room was comfortable with a wonderful contoured table to ease your lower back and keep you comfortable. The therapist was gentle, efficient and very good. I felt that the facial was worth every penny (I did get a discount... watch for them on Spa Week) ...and the massage was very relaxing. I like the simple, realistic, and healthy-beauty approach Dove Spa takes and adds those great spa touches (like the robe, tranquil music, and ending the treatment with a cup of tea) which makes this spa a real treat and post-work getaway.

I was extremely dissapointed in this spa. I read the rave reviews but believe they must be an inside source. If you actually go to the spa, you will know what I am about to review.

Reception - nice and reception area was also welcoming.
Change room - dusty and dirty floors
Treatment room - just ok and nothing really special, to be honest, with wax on floor and dustballs in the corner.
Treatment - I selected a relaxing massage. Well, it should have been relaxing however, there is a little gym or daycare directly above the spa on the second floor. Who knew??? They are apparently open 7 days a week so you will never have a relaxing experience. The massage therapist asked me if I wanted to turn up the music to block out the running and stomping feet coming from above. Music was already turned up enough to enjoy a massage that was supposed to be relaxing! Well, it wasn't and I wouldn't ever go back or recommend it to anyone else.
    PARKING - also a challenge.
I wanted to speak to the manager, but she was nowhere to be found. I left my name and number and did not receive a call back. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Tried to call the spa to speak to her and I went in to voice mail on the two attempts during the day. Not an overall good experience.

I visited the Dove Spa for the first time this past weekend. They had a promotion in the spring for a free facial if you sign up to their newsletter – talk about a good deal! The second I stepped into the spa I was completely impressed. Everything is white, very clean, friendly faces and pleasant people who really look like they love working there. In case you’re wondering, the spa is owned by the same Dove people who make the soaps, body washes etc. Therefore, throughout the spa there are lots of self-esteem quotes and videos playing. I was told the spa’s are all across the UK and recently opened in Canada.

First, they showed me to the change room where they gave me a robe and slippers. It was a nice touch and it really made me feel like I was at a spa – personally, I think more places should do this. Next, I met with Faustina who did a skin analyst for me. It was high-grade equipment that measured things like oil, water, dryness, elasticity etc. of my skin. And she also gave me a print out to take home.

The facial was really nice and soothing. I also liked how in each private room you could personalize the music – you could pick from 3-4 choices. My skin looked and felt great after the facial. Although, I ended up having a reaction to the products that really dried my face out and left me with a large red mark on my face. I’ve had reactions in the past so wouldn’t think it was the spa’s fault.

Overall, it was a really amazing experience and I can’t wait to go back! They have a lot of great deals so be sure to do some searching on the Internet for additional discounts.

Last week I had the pleasure of attending the opening of the new Dove Spa on Yonge Street.

First things first - this spa is GORGEOUS. All soothing white, plush, lavish and everything a girl wants in a spa. I kept thinking what a fun place this would be to bring a group of girlfriends for pedicures, massages, body wraps or facials.

I opted for a massage, which was very nice. It was a little unconventional as they started me on my back (face up) before rolling me over. Generally I prefer they work more on my back muscles because that's where I hold my tension. The questionnaire didn't ask that and the massage therapist didn't either so there is no way they could have known that. Regardless it was an enjoyable massage.

A friend of mine had a peel and her skin looked beautiful afterwards.

I'd definitely recommend this spa to women looking to have some fun and relaxation with friends in a beautiful upscale environment.

    A 45 aroma therapy massage is $75
