This is another one of Ottawa's 24 hour diners that I enjoy after a night of bar hopping. It's a great place to sit down with friends, and re-cap the night and settle down before you go home to rest. I've never actually been during the daytime, but I imagine it's a much more tame then. It feels like you're waiting to get into another bar some nights, while you're standing in line. It's a nice, simple place to go eat breakfast and spend time with friends, real cheap (for Ottawa) too!

The Elgin Street Diner has been voted best Ottawa's best diner, best 24 hour spot, best breakfast, best poutine, milkshake, and the restaurant with the best service by the readers of Xpress Magazine. I say you have to go at least once in your life. You pick what time of day you can make it!
