Hi The Danforth location had closed down. But I can say this Facility is a very good place. I've always been warmly greeted by staff and any questions i've had they have been successfull in answering me. Wether it be about my billing or just general question about how to use the equipment. The classes are great and I enjoy starting off my day with Fitnessone because in the end it's about me losing weight. Fitnessone has really helped me successfully lose weight. Fitnessone is great but the only issue i have is that they are unfortunately not a 24 hour club.

I moved to Toronto a few years ago, and I was looking for a good place to workout where I could just focus on getting some good tone and progressing with my physique. I train in BJJ, and have always valued a real workout - not one where people are watching DVD's on the cardio equipment and flirting at the juice bar in their designer outfits and full faces of make-up!

The Fitness One branch which is located on the corner of Richmond and Peter in the entertainment district has been amazing. The staff is easy going and knowledgeable, and the equipment is great! I've seen local celebrities, fitness compteitors, students, house wives, business women, and even seniors in the gym...and it struck me, that these were all people who are seriously interested in their health and wellness - not some sort of fitness gong show where one is unsure if the gym is actually a night club, a video store, or a pick-up joint!

This gym has been great. I've checked out almost every gym that I can find in the area - I'm confident I made the right choice...good hours, good prices, good equipment, normal people...

Check it out - I believe they give free passes.

I joined the gym after my friend who had belonged for years talked me into it. I've rarely had to wait for equipment, and there is a class I want to take almost every night of the week. It's by far the cheapest gym I've ever belonged to. What I would normally pay for a class covers my monthly membership fee. One of the best deals in Toronto imho.

I go between two locations of this gym - Yonge & Charles and Peter & Richmond. The Peter & Richmond location is newer, more spacious and is never crowded.
Yonge & Charles has been under renovations for the 2 years that I've been a member there. The renovations are definlently improving the place, but I'm looking forward to it all being done. Lots of machines, you never need to wait. But there are many machines out of order.
There's been a lot of staff turn over in the time I've been a member. I think there have been at least 4 different managers. They are easily identifiable and friendly, but I'm not sure how qualified they are to be tagged as "trainers". The introductory training sessions is really just how to use the machines. I tried to book another session to take things up a notch, but didn't get much info.
You can't beat the price though and the hours aren't bad. If you want a basic gym without any extras (tv's, rentable lockers, towel service) than I recommend it.

I joined this gym last year and I am still happy with it. This is a no frills gym only for women. When you sign up you get a workout regiment and there are always trainers to help wtih your wrokout. If you are into classes and machines then this the gym for you, if you like fancy stuff you better go somehwere else.

The gym is cost effective and I have never had to wait for a machine in the Lawrence/Allen Rd. location.
