Step into Girl Friday, and you'll quickly realize that this is the shop that you've been looking for! The racks are filled with this season's "must-haves" all at an affordable price point. Each piece is hand-picked by owner/ designer Rebecca Nixon, which results in an impeccably-edited collection of clothing, shoes, and accessories. Girl Friday stocks over 30 different clothing and accessory lines from across the world including the ever-popular Dish Jeans (Vancouver), Soia & Kyo (Montreal), Nougat (UK), Hobo International (US), and Colcci (Brazil). Girl Friday also carries it's own in-house label featuring beautiful dresses for all occasions, and excellently tailored blazers and pants. In it's 5th year of business, owner Rebecca Nixon attributes the success of the stores to the laid back and friendly environment and knowledgeable, helpful sales staff. "It's like shopping with your best friend!" Girl Friday also has a location on College Street. Go to www.girlfridayclothing.com/ for more information.

I love that they remember you! I only shop here for Dish Denim, they fit great! Sign-up online to be in the know for special discount nights. Prices go from reasonable to a little pricey, but love the fact that they carry Canadian designers. First place I go when I need a new outfit.

I got a beautiful silk dress (that I have no where to wear it) and my friend picked up a couple of very cute items! :) I really liked the clothes in this store! There was a really nice coat that I agonized over but couldn't justify the money. We spent a long time looking through the racks of really trendy and very beautiful clothing! The prices were a little higher then I would have liked, but I don't believe the pieces were over priced! My silk dress was $160, but well worth it! The staff was very friendly and helpful! I will be back to Girl Friday! Maybe my coat will still be there!! :)

Girl Friday was filled with pieces that I would love to have. I found they had a lot of unique pieces and that the price point was a lot lower than I would have expected. Unique and affordable clothing wrapped up in a beautiful boutique on Queen West! Definitely check this place out!

I love this boutique! The store was beautifully merchandised. The breadth of selection was impressive. Not to mention that this would be the first place I would go to look for a smashing evening clutch, an everyday handbag or a new wallet. They had funky accessories of all kinds (even shoes!). This boutique is a definite stop next time I'm in Toronto.

I really loved this store! I don't know what to add to MissChickie's comments, except to second them. I visited during the ShopCrawl, and were it not for strict promises to my husband regarding my shopping budget, I probably would have come out with bags bursting. As it was, I saw many great pieces, bought a few I couldn't say no to, and will be back for the rest (once I make nicey nice with hubby and VISA).
I definitely recommend this store!

This is such an adorable store. They have two locations but I've only been to the Queen Street W one. My most recent visit was today.
Owner/Designer Rebecca Nixon is responsible for many of the beautiful designs they carry. Today that included some gorgeous raw silk dresses that would be perfect for Christmas parties, weddings or a cocktail party. They also carry a nice selection of designer jeans from Dish and Paper Denim and Cloth. Prices are good value for the quality. The jeans I liked from Dish were about $80. There were also some really nice sweater dresses hovering around the $100 mark as well as some less expensive items in the $20s and $30s. It really depends on what you're looking for. They also carry a nice selection of accessories and even a few shoes.
Come here to stock up your wardrobe with everything from cocktail dresses, to office, party wear, and beautiful coats ($300s-ish). The quality is consistently good and the staff are friendly.
It's a must visit on the Queen W strip.
