Full disclosure: I have not been here or received any service from Ivory. The reason? My one and only interaction with them has turned me off completely. My mother had a groupon for an express facial and mani/pedi. She gave to me and I called in the morning to book an appointment for after work. I found only one review for Ivory and it was not flattering but I gave them benefit of the doubt. Their site offers info about services and location but that's about it.
I called to book and the receptionist asked me who I wanted. First, I am a new customer, I have no clue. Secondly, no where is there info to be found on who works there. I explained that I actually had a groupon for them, so I wasn't sure. When I said groupon, she let out a frustrated sigh and an 'of course'. Then, she asked my name and a phone or fax machine started going on on their end, so loudly. She couldn't hear me speak and was yelling HELLOOOO into the phone when it finally stopped she asked me what I wanted. Well, the groupon was for a facial and mani/pedi I explained. The staff is clearly not informed. However, I was on a tight schedule, can I book simply a shallac mani as a substitute. No, they don't have shellac. I said I would think about it and call back.
This entire experience was so unwelcoming that I don't want to know what they are like in person. It isn't often that I post bad experiences, but this was one I felt I needed to share. If salons don't want grouponers, then don't offer it.
