Definitely one of my favourite sushi places. Although its doesn't have excellent lunch specials that students and discount hounds look for, it isn't over priced. Those few extra dollars that you spend are SO very worth it though. It has definitely served some of the freshest sushi I have had, one of my favourites was the negi hamchi maki which was served slightly warm but it just melts in your mouth when you have it. Although the restaurant is small and tight for seating, this intimacy actually adds to the experience, since one can watch the sushi master at work. One of the more interesting tools you will see him working with is the hand torch- ask for the Japango roll!

I've also had the omakase (tasting menu) and it was fantastic. It consisted of a five course dinner starting with a cherry blossom soup, a set of 4 appetizers (one of which is their oyster shooter), sashimi, salt water eel tempura (not unagi- thats fresh water), black cod with miso that is absolutely melt in your mouth and finally a 4 piece set of sushi made with fish you have probably never ordered.

I can definitely say it is my favourite sushi restaurant. Its generally really busy for dinner so I'd recommend a reservation, or you can also get take out! the staff are very nice and are as attentive as possible. Even though its such a small restaurant the tables are always filled. The sushi master is very friendly and just from overhearing conversations there are quite a few regulars who visit him often!

This little restaurant is a hidden gem... it's about a block away from the Eaton Centre, hiding on a side street. It's a small place.. but the sushi here is fantastic! A bit pricey.. but definitely worth it! They even have pics of stars that have dropped in for sushi there.
