Owners Description:

Kiehl's is a fantastic store for skin and haircare products for everyone. The staff is extremely knowledgable and friendly and can suggest a remedy for just about any hair or skincare issue. I have experienced very dry skin and scalp this winter and the person who helped me at the Queen Street location (Anne Marie) was extremely helpful in helping me find the right products but also suggesting other things I could do to improve my condition like eating more fruits and vegetables. She suggested my symptoms could be due in part to not consuming enough of certain vitamins - which must be true since my diet has been pretty bad for months. I was really impressed with the knowledge of the staff in general.

Kiehl's does not test on animals and uses only the finest natural ingredients and minimal preservatives. They have been around since 1851, originally as a pharmacy, and all of their staff are highly trained. They also support several charitable causes including Aids/HIV research. It's certainly more expensive than what you'll pay at a drugstore, but definitely worth it.

Oh, and they give you loads of free samples so you can try stuff out before you buy it.

After reading some raves about Kiehl's both here on on Make Up Alley, I decided to see if I could get my hands on some of their products, here in Calgary. Imagine my glee to find that Holt Renfrew has a Kiehl's coutner. I headed right over that very noon hour!

I have been very very impressed with the quality of their products. Their lip balm is already at the top of my list of new addicitions! I was impressed with the customer service at the counter (you never know what to expect from counters in big dept stores) - the girl was very knowledgable and, when they were out of a cream I wanted to buy, she offered me several samples to hold me over until the tube could be ordered.

I love everything I have gotten there so far and am finding myself planning my payday's around what products I hope to buy :) I think they may just have a lifelong customer out of me.

Shopping at Kiehls is like going to an old school chemist. Where they really care about what you think you need, what you actually need and fnding that perfect fit. The samples are famous but the service is the reason I keep coming back. It is almost like cheers, you want to go ' where everyone knows your name".When I had to check the shelf life of my sunscreen (btw it is 6 months after it has been opened), get a new lid for my coconut conditioning rinse after it broke after falling out of my overstuffed gym locker or be consoled after my Creme de Corps Nuturing Body Washing Cream was abducted by a so called friend. Thsis is the place to shop, try something new or explain your beauty dilema with the warmth of a therapist.

My favourites include, the all sport solid sunscreen for the winter, the creme de Corps line and their commitment to the communities that they serve.

The products at this store all looked great, I was tempted to buy them all! It's a place I'll be sure to go back and check out when I've got a bit more time so I can check out all the different lines of skin care things.

They don't have the cheapest products, but service at this store is second to none! Whatever your need, they will help you find what you are looking for, and if you're unsure about the merchandise, they give you free samples that you can take away and try in the comfort in your own home!

I walked away with a free hand cream sample that I will definitely be going back to purchase at a later time.

Awesome store, great products for men and women.

After my experience at the Shop Crawl, I am definitely coming back here again! The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable about all their products. I also really like how they give you samples so you can try before you buy. The products are all very high end and a little bit more on the expensive side but well worth it. I can't wait for my next trip to Kiehl's!

Where oh where do I begin with how impressed I was by this store! Kiehl's is a great little store for everyone with any skin or haircare issue. The staff was so friendly and inviting and they were extremely knowledgable with the products the offer. I visited the Queen Street location yesterday and it left such a good impression with me that I plan on making the trek down there sometime soon to pick up some products because it will be well worth the drive. I have to agree with MissChickie in that I was really impressed with the knowledge of the staff in general. I appreciate the fact that they let you test products before purchasing and that they use only natural ingredients as well. For your skin and haircare needs, I highly recommend visiting this store!!! :o)

I lurrrrrrrv Kiehls....I luffffff Kiehls....

The only better place is Sephora...but for totally different reasons. Kiehls makes me happy even when I'm not in the store.
