I loooove Le Scandinave! It makes for the perfect girl's road trip or romantic day out! The concept is based on the Scandinavian baths that focus on hydrotherapy for cleansing the body and increasing blood circulation. It kind of works like a circuit... you're suppose to warm the body in the sauna or steam room (the steam room is a large eucalyptus one... it's soooo soothing) then take a cold plunge in one of the cold dip pools, then warm up again in one of the hot temperature whirl pools, then relax and repeat! You could easily spend the whole day just running the circuit and enjoying the outdoors! It's so quiet and relaxing! They have great lounging chairs and hammocks as well! Make sure to use your "spa" voice as you will get sshhh'd by one of the employees to being loud! Lol! Definitely worth the drive up to Collingwood! The food at the cafe is just ok... but since you're so close to Blue Mountain, we usually just head over there after our day and have a nice dinner!

Absolutely amazing! My boyfriend and I went to the baths this weekend. It was cold and snowing... which made the experience all the more incredible! The hot baths keep you cozy and warm while the snow gentle falls around you and melts on your shoulders! We did dip into the cold baths too and then into the hot baths, this feels so fantastic! But sometimes we would just stand out of the water until we were cold and then jump back into the hot water! The relaxation rooms and steam rooms are also amazing!

We arrived at about 3pm on Saturday and waited about 20 minutes to be let into the baths. We had been warned that there can be a waiting list. They meter the amount of people let into the baths so that they don't get overcrowded. We were expecting a wait since it was a Saturday afternoon. We just had a soup and sandwich at the Bistro near the lobby! It was perfect to be able to have a light snack while we waited. I heard the wait times that day got to about an hour and a half, so we were quite lucky. You can not make a reservation ahead of time, but I think if you book a massage and then go to the baths, there is no wait time. We spent 4 hours (Yes, FOUR hours) in the spa. It was that incredible. It was so beautiful to be there at night. They have it lit softly and you can see the ski hills in the background. It was magical and romantic! We only left because we were getting very hungry!

The facility is clean and well managed. They provide unlimited towels and you can rent a robe. I suggest you bring your own robe and flip flops if you want them. But we didn't really use the robes while in the baths area. The towel is enough to have with you when you are moving between baths, spas and relaxation rooms. The change rooms are very nice and quite spacious. They provide you with a locker key, so you don't need to worry about change for locker rental. Bring and drink lots of water. You won't notice how dehydrated you get, but you are sweating a lot.

My skin still feels amazing! We are already planning to go back!

My fiancée and I went to the Le Scandinave Spa in Collingwood/Blue Mountain and had an excellent time. All of the baths are outside and are a mix between hot and cold. The hot baths are around 100 degrees and the cold plunges are a brisk 67 degrees. They also have dry saunas and eucalyptus steam room, which are both amazing. To my knowledge, they’re open 12 months of the year, but I personally think visiting in the spring or fall would be best. It’s a very quiet environment where people are not talking or socializing. There are also a few small rooms you can relax in – I’m guessing this would be more used on rainy or winter days. The landscaping is beautiful and very rustic.

They also have a small café on site where you can buy soup, sandwiches, snacks etc. Prices were expensive, but it’s a nice treat after relaxing in the baths. When you arrive they give you 2 towels and a locker key. But I’d recommend bringing flip-flops and your own robe. They also offer massages, but I don’t think they have a full-service spa on site.

Overall, it was a very unique experience. I’ve never been to a spa like that and would definitely recommend it to my friends. It would make for a good girls weekend or couples retreat.
