I had my 3rd tattoo here. It was 2 large hibiscus flowers and I they drew the design from the actual flower I found on the net. I did NOT want ugly black outlines or blue but the girl insisted you must or the colors would run over time. She agreed to not outline some of the 'glow' and aura type color around my design but after 10 years none of the non outlined tattoo is 'running'. I didn't want the outline and it bugs me to this day. I like the tattoo but don't like that they would not do what I wanted. I would go back but next time insist it's my way or no way.
If price and "coolness" were the only things Important I'd give this a 5 star; unfornztely it's not.
Yes, I saved money because it was discount Sunday, but you get what you pay for which is earrings without a proper back. Instead of using a metal back she used rubber bands. Which lasted less than 2 weeks before they fell out so many times I finally lost one.
Oh, and because I was gauging to a larger size she also choose a too small earring which is likely why I finally lost it.
I definitely wouldn't recommend.
I decided to bite the bullet and get my first tattoo finally the other day and went here because my friends recommended it. As well as they were the only shop that got back to me on my inquiries and my gut said they were the place to go. My artist was Jamie and her work I saw online, in her room was so awesome. Even though I was getting basic script work she did a fantastic job. It's got strong black colour, lines and she really put thought into placing it perfectly in a feminine fashion on my arm. I was crazy anxious, nervous after people kept worrying me that I was picking a place super painful but she told me not to worry that it wasn't and was super nice about it all. It did hurt like a !@#$& but it was so quick and worth it in the end.
She also charged me less then I was quoted which was nice.
I also loved the look of the shop inside as it had a nice retro flare and ambience.
I don't have any other experience with tattoos etc. But this was definitely a pleasant occasion for a first timer.
Worst experience ever adrian was an ass he rushed my tattoo charged me like 260 for an hour and ten mins he messed up alote of the lines was supper sketch i got a rash from the in he used had to spend another 220 to get it fixed from another artist run for the hills worst decission of my life going there and to top it all off they were rude
living color is amazing to its customers, i went there for piercings before and my guy was completely professional, and i screwed up a piercing and my guy scalped it out for me free of charge even tho it was my fault he laughed and asked me "now what did u learn" hahaha everyone there is chill and they do what they love and you can tell form the moment you walk in.
In Ottawa, this would be the only place that I would (and have) ever had a tattoo done. In fact, I have had two done, by two different artists. They took their time and made sure everything was good before we started. This place is very clean and friendly. I would only trust these people to scar me for life :)
