Only open for a year - I had the pleasure of dining at Minas last month in Calgary. Located next to the Eau Claire Market Parkade - parking was a breeze for being downtown. The atmosphere is modern but cozy. The food was amazing. This is a traditional Brazilian BBQ house with the major influence being the food culture of Southeast Brazil, where traditional churrasco-style barbequed meats and sausage are served alongside sumptuous local vegetable dishes, including okra, bean dishes, and savoury squash. The buffet entrees included a fabulous selection of hot and cold dishes (and I loved the fact that the English names for them are also shown - lol!) The BBQ was to die for and ranged from all types of beef, chicken and pork to sausage, bacon wrapped items and seafood. A little pricey but definitely worth the price in my opinion!
