This beautiful high end spa is tucked away in the romantic distillery district, one of my favorite areas in Toronto. The Oasis just recently opened and it is the nicest spa I've ever been to in Toronto. The decor and ambiance are very calming: Aged hardwood floors, exposed brick and high ceilings throughout, a quiet room with beds where you can relax in total silence, a Buddha lounge (it's a corner in the room where you can paint - with water...) and a peaceful open area for reading or getting manis and pedis.

There are no magazines to read but there are some relaxation themed books. There are lockers for your things and bathrobes and of course, tea and citrus water. I treated myself to the Teye facial for $118.00. That is the least expensive facial they have. Honestly, I would never normally pay that much for a facial but I quickly realized that the experience is all part of the price. This place is so calm, they really take their time with you, and you can sit there and relax as long as you like. I felt totally pampered and at peace before I even went in for the facial.

I enjoyed the facial, which comes with a face massage (glorious!) and an arm and hand massage. My skin looked better afterwards.

They do try to upsell you on products or signing up for their passport membership, which gets you discounts and deals for $99/year, but that didn't bother me too much as I find most spas do this.

One of the things I liked the best was the fact that they really took their time with me. I was there for at least 1.5 hours for my facial and at no point was I sitting and waiting. They also did my makeup for free after my treatment with their mineral makeup, which was a nice touch.

I highly recommend this as a treat to yourself, for a friend or your Mom. For me it will be a rare treat because all of the services are quite pricey, but I will definitely go back when I really want to pamper myself.

They are closed down. I just found out when I tried to call and get an appointment. Apparently they closed in March. Sucks to be me and any other customer who still had a gift certificate on file! The Calgary location is still open as far as I know.
