This quaint little French bistro on Queen St. E is the perfect spot for a romantic date. The menu selections are few but flavorful. I ordered the terrine aux legume on potato pancake Provencal (pictured) - good but a little overwhelming - and Alex ordered the fish special served with roasted potatoes and a heavenly vegetable concoction - fantastic! We started with the pear and Camembert salad, which was light and refreshing and ended with their Flourless chocolate lava cake, an orgasmic dish of melt in your mouth chocolate served piping hot from the oven with a garnish of fresh mint.

I was unable to finish my veggie dish as it was quite large, but I brought it home and savored it for lunch the next day. For about $100, we had an appetizer, 2 entres, 2 alcoholic beverages, a large bottle of sparkling mineral water, 1 desert and an espresso.

What really made this experience special was the service and ambiance. The bistro feels very intimate with fresh white linen and candles on the tables with the soft sounds of jazz music from all of the greats. The owners serve the guests themselves and ensure you are never lacking for anything. Even if you only come here to sit at their sweet little retro bar and savor a glass of wine or a desert, I highly recommend checking this place out.

Tip:They are also open for weekend brunch!
