No doubt, the food is great here. Servicewise, the servers are nice. But the manager (The skinny asian guy) is a jerk. I found his behaviour with his employees inapproriate and rude. I had eaten in this place several times in the past. Once I asked him if 3 of us could sit in a different place at the back (there were many vacant tables) rather than sitting next the windows. He said, "No". When I asked him why can't I sit in those empty sits, he showed me the door if I didn't want to eat there. What a rude asshole. I don't know who hired him. I never went back to that place after that. People go restaurant to eat, not to be insulted. Someone please teach him some management and customer service skills.

Salad King is one of the best cheap eats and Thai restaurants in Toronto.

The food is just so fresh and delicious. I have had the BEST curries here, especially the Golden Curry. It's the best Golden Curry in the city, hands down. I also like how you can choose how spicy you want your food. It ranges from mild (some dishes are already a little spicy) to 20 chillies (may cause upset stomach). Perfect for those who cannot stand the heat and those who are adventurous with spicy food!

It's very affordable too, nothing here is over $10. It's a great place to stop in for lunch in between classes or go to with a group of friends.

One thing to keep in mind about Salad King is that it's not a good restaurant for a date. The seating is a little strange (often you're sitting right next to strangers) and it can get very cluttered, cramped and noisy.

Owner and Chef Linda also has a sister restaurant upstairs called Linda for private parties and nicer functions. I have never been there before.

The tasty food and value for your money will not disappoint you! If you're in the area, definitely check it out, it's right next to Ryerson University.

Salad King is an amazing little restaurant near Yonge & Dundas that serves great thai food at even better prices. From soups and salads, to curries and seafood dishes, every dish is delicious! Nothing is priced over $10 and the atmosphere in the restaurant is always buzzing! Great place to eat and hang out with friends!

Yes, this place is always packed and its a cafeteria style ambiance but the food is amazing. So so so so good. You can customize how spicy each dish is with their # of chillis system (i don't recommend going over 3 chillies!). I didn't like their hot and sour soup so much, but everything else is AMAZING.

There is a dish not on the menu called "Thai Islamic Noodles" which is like pad thai but with a creamy peanutty sauce. LOVE IT.

If you are on a date and want a different kind of atmosphere, upstairs from Salad King is a nicer version of the exact same restaurant. It is a little more per item, but the food is bascially the same. It is called Linda and you usually have to call ahead for a reservation.

Cheap and Good. This restaurant is located right near Yonge and Dundas (Toronto) and decorated beautifully. The food is inexpensive but tastes amazing. The only thing is that it's always busy and due to their set up you feel as though you are sharing a table with other people.
