Salon Liberte - 365 Yonge Street - Toronto

Emeline was terrific! I love a stylist who loves length and appreciates healthy natural hair. I have been growing my hair out for about a year. It was lower back in length with very damaged ends and no shape nor style. Emeline took her time, and did a terrific job. Now I have mid back length and side bangs. She also gave me lovely layers in front.

I walked in on a Friday afternoon after work, just to check the place out. When I entered, a very nice man (maybe the owner or a senior stylist) looked at my hair and asked if I wanted to get it done right then. He picked a stylist, and they took me right away without an appointment. Staff were all very friendly and very down to earth. I left feeling like a million bucks.

Let's face it it - who doesn't have a bad hair story? A couple of years ago I coloured my hair on my own, even though I knew better. I attempted a warm chocolate brown but ended up with Jet Black/Blue hair. You know, like Veronica from the Archie Comics!!!!

I went to Salon Liberte' in a panic as I have been a loyal and EXTREMELY happy client for over 14 years!

Not only did they fix the problem, they saved my hair without damaging it!!! I literally had 2 hair dressers stripping the colour out while another jumped in to help (without being asked) by holding a hair dryer on the cool setting on my scalp due to my super sensitive skin.

The staff is a close knit "family" who work so well together and make their clients feel welcomed and valued.

The recent renovations to the Salon include a very hip new colour bar that makes this salon, in my humble opinion, very sexy and trendy like some of the upscale Yorkville salons but a lot more affordable without a snobby and impersonal atmosphere.

I have recommended many friends over the years to go to Salon Liberte' and they are ALL now loyal clients as well. I have never referred anyone who regretted it. Most salons push their products down your throat but at Salon Liberte' they will suggest products you may find useful for your hair needs but never make you feel uncomfortable or pressured to purchase. What a refreshing change. I recommend highly that you drop in and see for yourself what a great place it is. You won't regret it!

I went yesterday to get a wash, cut, blowdry. Curtis did my hair and I like it! My hair feels light and is well-layered. Curtis is professional and easy to chat with. He took the time to ask me about my lifestyle and how I normally style my hair. He incorporated these elements into my new hairstyle really well. I appreciated how much he listened to me and as a result, my new haircut suits me perfectly.

I had one of the best salon experiences at Liberte this weekend. I felt not only comfortable but welcomed.. and my hair looked great!

Well i would first of all like to thank the ladies who have reviewed this salon before me, it was by reading their reviews that made me try it out...and i loved it! i recently moved to toronto and had been trying out a couple of expensive places, thinking they'd be good, but they kept disappointing. when i went to jeremy at salon liberte, i was extremely happy! he understood what i needed and he totally agreed with my vision for my hair. the end result came out smashing! it was just what i had wanted and it looked great on me, just as he had advised. he was also very polite, friendly, and he said i could come back to trim my bangs free of cost! talk about professionalism. and best of all, the salon was trendy but relaxed at the same time, i felt totally at home. try it out for sure.

I have been a happy and loyal customer of Salon Liberte (previously The Cut Above) for more than 20 years! The staff are fantastic and the service is outstanding. I have lived in various cities throughtout the last twenty years and have yet to enter a salon that offers a quality of service on par with Salon Liberte. Highly skilled and extremely professional, the staff are all so friendly and accomodating.

Highly recommend Salon Liberte at 365 Yonge Street in downtown Toronto. Very friendly and professional atmosphere with a trendy and hip "Colour Bar" for all those interested in achieving that little added enhancement with haircolour. My friend suggested I try it out and let me tell you it was very relaxing and refreshing to be able to interact with other customers and staff while I was awaiting my colour treatment processing.( and drinking my complimentary latte) Now; all my other friends also visit Salon Liberte @ 416-977-9876. There is a girl name Chalko.She does amazing highlights, cuts are great.

The overall staff is very friendly.

And can see they do great jobs too.
