 My overall rating  On:Dec 16, 2009 2 out of 2 chicks found this useful I have a friend who worked at this salon and was recently fired as the owner insisted on knowing why she had a doctors appointment.
He did not ask her to see a doctors note ( which is legal ) he wanted to know what her visit to the doctor was all about (which he cannot ask legally). She refused to tell him as it was a personal female problem of which she believed not to be any of his business.
Another reason she didnt want to tell THE OWNER OF SALON ROUGE why she had this appointment was because he was currently involved with another stylist who would tell the entire work environment.
He then dismissed her for the day. Upon her arrival the following day, the owner had already removed her from the staff list and replaced her shifts. Then infront of his clientel and staff fired her from her possition very un professionally by saying " oh you came to get your stuff"? "you dont work her anymore sweetie".
I believe this to be a horrible way too run a so called " High End" salon. A positive work environment rubs off on your clients return, aswell as the way your employees work around you.
This man also purchased this friend of mine multiple gifts!!! perhaps since she wasnt giving in he decided to give her the boot??!!?
EXTREMELY disgusting and unprofessional.
I would not recommend anyone support this type of business as it is not put together well. The employee's and the clientel are not treated well, and the owner clearly needs to renew his business degree.... or perhaps take some communication courses at his local College or University.

Also I once entered this salon to purchase some hair products (dont ask me why) and the owner , a short dark male, was being extremely rude to another client telling her things that made her break down into tears. I couldnt believe I saw something so bad as this in a hair salon. I was so appauled I wanted to tell the man to calm down and get some manners while speaking to customers if he wanted to keep his so called High End bussiness!! I did not return and will never.
I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone male or female...its just awful [ back to top ]

I had yet to find the perfect colour for me, but they managed to give me exactly what I had been looking for. The colourist and master stylist doing my hair made me feel comfortable and seemed to understand exactly waht I was looking for. I recently got the new Keratin treatment done and it has completely removed frizz from my hair. Anyone who has trouble with frizzy curly hair should DEFINATELY look into this service!! From one girl to another I know you will be amazed! I've never gone to a single salon more than once in my life, but ever since my first visit the atmosphere has been fun, they have made me feel comfortable and almost like a friend of the salon and not just a client. On two visits to this salon I was pressured into putting more money and chemicals in my hair then what I was asking for. The owner and head stylist of this Salon was very pushy and rude. I had never met this man before, and the whole time he was doing my hair he was trash-talking his ex girlfriend which made me feel uncomfortable.
I brought in my sister the second time and he kept pressuring her stylist to hurry up, right in front of her, he also tried to pressure her into extra chemical treatments that would only damage her thick, beautiful-on-its-own, hair.
Both times I went I recieved a full head of highlights, a cut, and a blow out, but the second time I went the price was $20 more than the last time. I thought this was strange because he told me he was giving me a discount for bringing in a new client. The 'hair cut' was rushed and took only about five minutes. He was very rough with the blow out and style, and I left with something a little too pouffy and over processed both times.
After the second time I explained to the receptionist that I was dissapointed with the service and price so I wouldn't be returning or leaving a tip. My roomate later informed me that he had made rude comments to her in reference to me not leaving a tip. Don't go here expecting proper or polite service. [ back to top ]
