Who ever is reading these reviews and believing them you are missing out on a great experience. some people are just not happy with themselves so they have to complain about everyone and everything. I have been going to this salon for three years and have always had wonderful service and always leave feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Danielle is my colourist and i love the colour she does for me, my family and friends. I would highly recommend this salon especially if you're young and trendy. If you have instagram follow them at salonsoho_ and judge for yourself.
OMG the absolute worse salon I have ever been to. I've had my hair done a zillion times and I must admit Soho have staff that are bordering on nepatism, they do a terrible job with color (so called color expert Danielle) and refuse to correct it, I would have had a better job done to my hair at Super Cuts or some less expensive $11 cut and color place. NEVER again !!! I do love the product they use because it's supposed to be healthy for your hair but that's about it for me. I would NEVER recommend this salon, the prices are too high, the service is terrible, the ambiance is like the staff hate each other, the service is family-orientated they protect each other's mistakes.
I visited Soho Salon at Sherway Gardens for the first time tonight. I had an unexpected appointment come up and needed a haircut within a few hours! I called the salon and I was able to squeezed me in. The woman on the phone was very polite and spoke highly of the stylist Noelle. I was told she was an excellent stylist that's good with curly hair. When I arrived at the salon I was greeted by the front desk team member, she was cheerful and courteous. I was very happy with the overall service and was pleased with the cut and style. I will definitely go back to see Noelle again, she did an excellent job!
I too, have been going to Robbie @ SoHo for quite some time, now, and I must say, I will never use another hair stylist again. I have an appointment with him in 2 weeks, and just can't wait!
I have been going to this salon for over 5 years now. My stylist is Robbie and we now have a friendship. Both of my sisters also go to Robbie and they've dabbled with a few other stylists at the salon as well. I always feel amazing while I'm there. Everyone is really nice and though I'm sure Robbie has hundreds of loyal clients, he always makes me feel like I'm special. We update each other with what is going on in our lives while he does my hair and I trust him with my life!
He is brutally honest. When I told him I wanted to get purple highlights he said he could let me choose the colour and my hair would look okay, or I could let him choose the colour and my hair would look gorgeous. He walks you through exactly what he's going to do in the colouring process and how it will turn out in your hair. He also shows you product options for how to maintain the colour in your hair.
For the cut, he is just as honest. He always keeps it trendy with a bit of a flair. He cuts your hair so that it will continue to be healthy and makes sure that your ends are in good shape. He will listen to your opinion, but at the end of the day he will cut your hair the way it will look best and if he needs to cut off extra because a lot of it is dead, he will do it. He's serious about hair health.
Yes it is pricey to go to this salon. I spend almost $200 when I'm there for a cut and colour. For a cut alone, it's usually about $75. Their products are amazing although they are also very expensive. The shampoos and conditioners are great, but not a necessity. However, if you are colouring your hair, the specific shampoos they provide to help your colour last are really worth it. If you're spending all that money to get it coloured in the first place, you should go the extra mile to make sure it lasts.
All in all, I definitely recommend this salon. I've taken loads of my friends there to get their haircut. And my sisters and I refuse to go anywhere else.
I had my hair highlighted by Sarah and cut by Aaron. They were both very nice and professional. I loved the cut and colour. They really made me feel spoilt on my "me day" at the hair salon. Thanks!
Went in looking for a hair revamp and had my haircut by Aaron who was amazing and really nice. The salon itself was okay and price average for that type of a salon. Can't really get a cheap hair cut unless you go to Magic cuts. I don't really know what the other reviewer meant in regards to Aaron, he did a great job and my hair looks fabulous.
I went to this salon to get an asymetrical cut and it turned out way shorter then what I wanted and it doesn't even look even, hands down the worse place I've ever gotten a haircut, I guess it's all about who cuts your hair...I wouldn't suggest Aaron.
I have been going here for years and years, but I found that it was getting increasingly more expensive (if you are a student, you get a discount- at least i did last time, so ask). I generally went to Sam to get my haircut, but to Sophia if I wanted something short or an updo. It was always really nice, good results usually but I stopped going here cause it was impossible to get an appointment and it was getting a tad on the expensive side
They always do a totally amazing job on my hair, but it is expensive. The best colourist I've had is Daniela. She can do a lot of trendy colours, and is awesome with highlights, lowlights, and funky colours like reds. The place and the products they use smell great and it is also a spa so they can do things like manicures.
I agree it is pricey. A cut is like $60+ and cut and highlights is over $100. I have dabbled at other places and Soho has never let me down! It's too bad for my wallet though!!!
BTW, this is a spa in a mall - Sherway Gardens - which is suburban swanky, but not so much that you will feel out of place.
