Close to Miami's Midtown and new Design District, Soyka Cafe brings a big city feel to an otherwise developing urban area. Soyka is housed in an unimpressive building, but once you walk inside, it is transformed into an open, airy, loft style restaurant. There are exposed pipes and beams, original lighting and windows, and two beautiful terraces that are open for dining.

My friends and I met there for brunch on a Sunday, and it was packed. The staff seated us quickly, and we were given a menu that included brunch, lunch, and dinner items. We were able to order from all three. I had the aged balsamic chicken, which was served with tomatoes, spinach, and grilled vegetables ($13). My boyfriend ate a turkey club (not sure on the price). Everything was excellent, even if it was a little pricey for lunch (a mimosa cost us $8). Our friends ordered breakfast food, french toast and blintzes, and enjoyed them. A small cup of orange juice was $4. We had a great time, and it seems like it would be a fun place to take friends on a weekend, or to go on a date. I highly recommend it, just watch out for the drink prices, because some of them aren't listed!
