Have you tried hot pot? No silly, not that kind of hot pot. It's sorta like fondue minus the chocolate and cheese. You cook an assortment of seafood, thinly sliced meats, vegetables etc. in a yummy broth with a bunch of different sauces. My friends and I tried it last Saturday and loved it! It was fun to cook our own meal at the table and try different variations. We stumbled on a place in the northend of the city (Hwy. 7 and Leslie in the Times Square plaza) called Tak Wor. The place is certainly not glamorous but the food was very fresh and the service was excellent. The waiter knew we had no idea what we were doing and was incredibly helpful. It was also very well priced. The bill for four including tax and tip came to $90. It was a fun experience and one we'll be trying again!
