The Pickle Barrel - Toronto![]() | ||
I have had one too many bad experiences at this chain to ever go back. Once I had mussels and after carefully removing all the shells i still bit into a shard and cut my mouth. The waiter ignored me and after finally talking to the manager I was told 'mussles have shells'. There was no sorry, not taken off my bill, nothing. I was treated like I made it. And the worst thing is, it wasn't the first time bad things happened to me there. From waiters who stand next to you while you are eating and stare at you to broken glasses and dirty plates and cold food, this place is not worth your time or money. reviews I always enjoy going to the Pickle Barrel. Menu selection is huge! Which is great if you have a big crowd or just a picky eater like myself. I have never received bad service and the prices are very reasonable. The new look Yonge and Dundas location is awesome, but be prepared to wait for a table on the weekends. I have always enjoyed my experience at the Pickle Barrel - any meetings I have we always meet there because it pleases everyone and you can't beat the price. I love their Lobster & Artichoke dip appetizer its fabulous! I have always found my servers to be very nice :) [ back to top ] This review is the subjective opinion of a ChickAdvisor member and not of ChickAdvisor Inc. The only reason I ever eat here is because this is a restaurant that satisfies everyone, as there is a huge range of food items on the menu that caters to different dietary needs. It is never my choice to dine here. reviews I have to agree with MizzRobin, this place is the definition of mediocre. They have nice selection but the food looks better on the menu than it tastes. It has very little flavour. It is reasonably priced but I won't go back. reviews If you are looking for a moderately priced meal and something a little different from your standard burger/lasagna on the menu, this is the place to go because it offers a bit more variety in terms of the menu. I found the food, price and service to be mediocre but definitely good if you want something different. I've been to the Yonge & Dundas, and Yonge & Eglinton locations. They have a huge menu and a wide variety of food on it. (you can check it out on their website) The food is always fresh and they pride themselves on providing healthy meals. Definitely worth going to if you are in Toronto.
