There's a certain time of the month all women dread. Especially in the early years when it happens for the first time. Girls, you know what I'm talking about! Aunt Flow's monthly visit! We convinced women we met in the mall to share their embarrassing stories on camera.

ok thefirst time i got my period i was at a voleyball tournament where i had to stay in a hotel (i think i was 12), and i was supposed to go with my dad and my mom was supposed to go with my sister because she had a voley ball tournament too. Luckily i convinsed my mom to come with me (not know i would get my period) while at one of my games i felt somthing in my pants, i had no clue it was my period till after the game and i went to the bathroom along with a couple girls from my team i had no idea what to do so i wrapped a bunch of toilet paper around my underwear and took a deep breath and left the bathroom i went straight to my mom who was sitting next to one of the girls cute older brothers so i made my mom leave with me and i lod her i think i got my period and her being the prepared mom (for anything) took me to the bathroom and gave me a pad told me how to put it on and i did. of course those undies were not "usable" luckily i had another pair. my mom went out and got me a box of pads. i had another day of games too, so i had to spend my first night with my period in a hotel with my mom. in the morning i looked at the bed and there was blood everywhere it looked like someone died (the pad didnt work very well) luckily i didnt get cramps(and still dont) because i had to go out and finish playing the tournament we didnt win). at the end of the tournament we went home but had a team dinner with my sisters team and all the families, i just wanted to go home and sleep. oh well i survived that weekend with minimal embarrasment, thankfully my dad didnt go because even though i would have been comfortabe talking t him and he would be comfortable to it just wouldnt be the same without a mom

I would have to agree Satojoko your stories are hilarious, but they probably weren't at the time! I could only imagine. However I would have to say it takes a brave women to embrace what has just happened and go with the flow while trying to figure out a solution fast. Women to Women we all know each month our lovely little friend comes and visits (that's if you are regular) and mistakes happen and so do spill overs and what not. If i saw a women in the mall will a stain I would let her know just as I would pray someone would let me know.
But when it comes to that time of the month for some reason I usually stick to darker pants for that just in case moment. But thanks for everything guys I love the responses as well as the video!

I get paranoid too Ngill! There's been times when I've run to the bathroom with a sweater tied around my waist because I think I've leaked everywhere, only to discover Aunt Flow hasn't even come yet!

But I guess that false alarms are better than embarrassment!

All of these stories have made me far more paranoid than I already am!
When I have that sense that my period is coming sometime that week, I can be seen rushing to the bathroom every hour on the hour. Constantly paranoid of leaking!
Panty liners are my best friend, I buy them in bulk! They give me a little less anxiety.

I don't have any enormously embarrassing stories, but that's probably due to my paranoia. I never let my guard down long enough for something to happen.

I feel like I just jinxed myself, and by the next month I'll be replying to this thread with some horribly embarrassing story!

I tried the diva cup a long time ago and didn't find it worked very well....hmmm....maybe they've improved the design?? I'll give it another shot. But I will ask the store I buy it from if they will take it back if it doesn't deliver. Which is disgusting, now that I think of it....gahhhh....kinda like returning used tampons, I guess. Hmmm....maybe I won't ask them that. No, I won't ask them that. I can just imagine the look of horror or disgust on their face if I DID return it. 'Is it used?' as they usually ask. And as I usually say, 'Yes, of course, I wouldn't be returning it if I hadn't use it and found out it doesn't work as advertised'.

Yes, will try it. But will not be returning it, no matter if it doesn't work to my satisfaction.

Oh Sato, I'm dying here! I recently defected to the Diva Cup, and while you should wear a liner on heavier days in case it overflows, it lasts much longer than a tampon. For more TMI, read the ChickAdvisor reviews here:

Oh my gosh those stories are too funny Satojoko!! You've definitely
scared me out of using tampons next time I have a bad cough! Haha :)

Oh, I've got far more. And they're all 100% true. Bonafide boneheaded moves. I can't even keep track of all the time I've made a complete arse out of myself. Thanks to my traveling, many people all over the world from all cultures have had a first hand view of them.
