I received this product for free as part of the Product Review Club. In the past, I've gone through a number of different brands of protein powders and have often switched from one to the other because I couldn't handle the taste. I was so glad to learn that Boost's protein powder was flavourless. This allowed me to consume it more easily and it gave me the liberty of adding whichever flavour I wanted to it instead. I used it mainly in my smoothies and green juices and it dissolved rather well into the mixture. I also appreciated that they provided a little scooper which made it easy to measure out. The fact that this only has two ingredients, makes it a good choice in trying to eat a cleaner diet. Also, there's no added sugar or fat, which is great. Perfect for someone who is looking to supplement their diet with added protein in a convenient manner. -

I have fair skin with pink/red undertones and I sometimes have trouble finding a highlighter that won't look too golden, silvery or frosty for my skin tone. This is more of a champagne hue, which compliments my skin tone very well and gives a natural, luminous glow. I think it would also work well for those who have darker skin. You can definitely build upon the intensity but one swipe is enough for me. I like a subtle sheen, nothing too dramatic and this is quite a pigmented product. It's in a stick format which makes it easy to apply to cheekbones and browbones. Although it comes with a sponge-like applicator at the bottom, I find the best way to blend this in is with your fingers since it does have a creamy texture. It goes on very smoothly this way. The applicator didn't give me as much control as I needed. I do love the packaging and find it to be very sturdy and durable. Definitely one of my favourite highlighters! -

I found this brand of hand sanitizer at my local Dollarama. I am impressed with how much product you're getting for such a low price (i.e., 725 ml for $2.00). It contains 62% ethyl alchohol and claims to kill 99% of germs. This is a must have for me since I work in a germ-infested environment and the huge format ensures that I don't need to run to the store every month to buy a new bottle. This usually lasts me 6 months to a year. The gel comes out thick but it quickly absorbs into your skin without leaving any sticky residue. At first, there's a light pleasant scent but it quickly disappears. I don't mind that, but if you like your hand sanitizer to leave behind a fresh scent, this one doesn't. What I would improve, however, is to provide a pump so that it's easier to get the gel out. Once the bottle is more than half empty, I flip it upside down so that the product settles to the cap and can easily come out. -

These Ibuprofen liquid capsules from Kirkland are just as effective as well known brands on the market. They are made specifically for relieving headaches and migraines, but can be used for muscle aches, menstrual cramps, toothaches, etc.. I really find them to work quickly and are very easy to swallow. The pain feels almost non-existant after about 20 minutes of taking a capsule. It is also more cost effective since you get more in each bottle for a lower price. Great value! -

Although these wipes are marketed as being pure and natural, they are far from it. Yes, the actual wipe feels soft, has a light scent and does a good job at cleaning and moisturizing skin, but the fact of the matter is, it's filled with chemicals, which is not good. This is very worrisome since it will most probably be applied to a baby's skin, although I've used these in the past for myself and my students in the classroom. Now that I've done the research, I've found that they contain parabens and other carcinogenic ingredients. I will no longer be purchasing/using these for this reason. False representation through Huggies' advertising is really disappointing. -

I'm a sucker for cute packaging and I have to say, Twist & Pout lip balms are one of the prettiest I've seen! They come in a variety of printed spheres containing a delectably scented/flavoured lip balm. It's very moisturizing on the lips and it contains an SPF of 20, which I think is amazing for a lip product. My lips feel soft and pampered after applying it. However, I don't like the fact that the lip balm is embedded flat into one half of the sphere. I thought it would have been dome shaped but it's not. I'm constantly dipping my finger into the product in order to apply it and I don't feel this is the most hygienic process. I also think there could have been more product for the price you pay (I splurged $7 for one sphere). I'm giving this a "You Betcha!" rating because it is a good lip balm, but I don't think I'd consider spending this amount for this particular lip balm again. The packaging is nice, but that's where most of your money is going towards. I'd rather have more product instead and one that's more user-friendly too. -

I found this "scrub" to be gentle on my sensitive skin and very moisturizing as well. The olive oil component really helped dry patches feel and look revived and glowy. The reason I wrote the word scrub in quotations is that this, to me, has more of a cleansing texture than it does exfoliation. The granules are not as prominent as the Apricot scrub from the same brand, however, I appreciate this as my skin is sensitive and I have a hard time finding scrubs that aren't abrasive or contain beads. These granules feel more like sugar to me that gently blend in with the creamy texture and provide a good clean. I didn't experience any irritation or breakouts using this, however, I limit myself to applying it only during the winter months because it is very emollient and thick. My skin gets more oily during the spring and summer seasons and this would be too rich for me to use then. Therefore, I would not recommend this is you regularly have oily skin. Although it's advertised as a scrub for the whole body, I've mostly used this on my face and it works well for that purpose too. One tube lasts a long time as you only need a small amount. It has a lovely, earthy scent, much like olive oil and it rinses off easily. I may repurchase this in the future, if the price is right. -

I purchased two of these palettes at a local drugstore and bought them because of how affordable the brand is and mainly because I wanted to experiment with glitter eyeshadow. The palettes I purchased were "Marilyn" which is a mix of yellows, peach/orange and purple tones, as well as "Elizabeth"; a mix of greens and blues. They are made to represent the colors Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Taylor wore, which is probably one of the only good things these palettes have going for it. The colors are very pretty and I was wishing the results would be good, but the pigmentation is lacking. I really have to build up the color to get it to the way it looks in the pan and you get fallout when applying it. Mainly chunky glitter fallout and lots of it. In fact, the glitter was everywhere on my face throughout the day, even though I had only applied the product to my lids. This would have been so much better had the glitter been very fine instead. It is a decent palette for young girls wanting to experiment with makeup and it won't break the bank, but if you're serious about quality, then these are not worth it, even if they are very affordable. Nice packaging though, as I did appreciate the see through lid to be able to see the colors inside each one. -

What I most appreciate about these tortilla chips is that not only are they delicious, but they are made with natural, non-GMO, certified organic ingredients. They are whole grain/multigrain, which is healthier than your average corn tortilla chip and they're also gluten free and vegan. The chip is very sturdy, great for dips and salsas or to be eaten on their own. You also get a very good amount in the bag and they maintain their shape, rather than bringing home crumbly, broken pieces. I do have to say I wish the lime flavour would have been more pronounced but it was still tasty. Not too salty and very satisfying as a snack. -

I found this eye makeup remover at Dollarama and was curious to see how effective it was going to be. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it worked at removing eyeshadow and non-waterproof mascara. With just a few swipes, the makeup is off and skin is left clean without any greasy residue. The formula is very mild so you don't get the burning sensation if you get this in your eyes, like other brands I've tried before. It's too bad that it doesn't remove waterproof mascara though. On the plus side, the brand is cruelty free and made in Canada. I paid mine $2.00 and stocked up on a few bottles. Great bargain! -
