I'm kind of an amateur with eyeliners. I've used them off and on for years, but never really felt like I've mastered how to use it with my eye shape. However I'm really making the effort lately to get into it more, and this is one of the things I've been experimenting with a bit.
I got this in Black Smoke for the classic black smoky look, although the other shades look interesting too. The pencil is a tiny bit thicker than regular eye liner pencils, and the bottom end has a "smudger", a soft round sponge type thing.
The liner goes on very smoothly and the black is intense. It draws a slightly thicker line, but not too thick, and it's easy to control - you can do less or more.
It's a little harder to smudge out than I thought it would be - you need to apply it generously and then smudge quickly, it seems, to get the most dramatic look. But it's still easy to use and get good results.
Overall, I'm glad I purchased this. It's great for anyone who's still kind of nervous about doing a smoky eye - just apply some shadow, then this liner and you're good to go!

The bristles are soft enough, and the brush is a good size to work with my small eyes. I bought two other e.l.f eye shadow brushes with this one, and would definitely buy more in the future.

So glad I decided to get this! I just started wearing more eye makeup again lately, and the Naked2 palette is perfect for me to experiment with.
The packaging is gorgeous, and feels like it protects the shadows inside. There are 12 different shades that all go together, but are also unique and beautiful on their own. I love that it has a few matte shades, as well as the glitters and shimmers. It would be impossible to choose a favourite out of them all, but I was definitely more impressed with Blackout than I thought I'd be, just because it's a pure, matte black. I use it right in my upper lash line, just to make them look fuller but not actually lined per se, and it works way better than anything else I've tried to do that with.
Naked 2 comes with a double ended crease and shadow brush, which is just as beautiful as the rest of the palette. It feels a little heavier than my other brushes (from a different company), but I like that. The bristles for the shadow side are soft but dense and a little stiffer, and the crease side is super soft but still dense as well, and perfect for blending.
The Lip Junkie lip gloss it comes with is really nice. The colour (Naked) would look great on anyone, and is one of the better lip glosses I've tried. It's feels minty, and also smells a bit like vanilla.
I could definitely go on and on about the Naked2 palette, right now it's my favourite makeup product! It's amazing because you can do lighter, more 'naked' day time type looks, as well as dramatic looks, all with one product. It's definitely worth the price, and I'd recommend it to anyone.

This is a cheap, decent eye pencil. I got it in Black Fever, and it works well for what I purchased it for, just to experiment with different eye makeup looks. It says it's a supersoft eye pencil for precise application, and it's longlasting. I don't really agree with either of those things - it isn't necessarily precise, and I wouldn't rely on it to stay put for a whole day. It gives a thicker line when applied like a pencil, and smudges very easily, which can be a good thing but not when you're looking for a precise application!
Again, for the price it's great, but not the best quality.

I received a deluxe sample of Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment (in Sugar / clear original) in an order from Sephora. It's caught my eye a few times before but seemed too expensive to splurge on, without knowing what it was like first. It still seems expensive to me, but now I know that it's worth the price!
First of all, the packaging even on my sample is great. It came in a cute little box, and the tube is about 2 inches long. It's the same metal type tube that the full sized ones come in I'm assuming, and feels very durable but still kind of fancy too. I really love that the top twists off, which will definitely keep it more protected in my purse.
The product itself feels luxurious. It has a fresh, sweet lemon scent, and you only need a swipe or two. It is light but still feels protective on the lips, and honestly even after just one use my lips felt smoother and softer than before. It gives a nice soft shine, without looking white on the lips, like some clear lip balms do. (I really want to try the sheer tinted versions as well, especially Sugar Honey or Rose!)
I've been trying to pay much more attention to using products with SPF in them, so it's great that this has SPF 15.
Overall, I'm so lucky I got a chance to try this product out finally, but will be trying to stretch my sample tube out for as long as possible since the price is a bit high for me.

I recently got a coupon for $5 off any Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit product, so I ended up getting a pack of these wipes for only $2 because they were on sale as well! I had been interested in trying them, but found them a bit expensive at my local stores, so it was the perfect opportunity.
The first time I used these cleansing wipes, I found the grapefruit scent nice and energizing, but definitely way too strong, enough to give me a headache. So I started giving them a slight rinse in some water before using, and that's helped make the fragrance milder so I can use them more often.
I really like them for late nights - if I'm too tired or can't wash my face, these work perfectly to help me feel cleansed. And I haven't broken out while using these, in fact I think they do actually help with any 'activity' that might be going on with my face.
Overall, I am really glad I got to try these for such a low price, but would probably only buy them again if they were on sale. There are other cleansing wipes out there that work just as well, but without the strong scent.

Set in Stones is a perfect silver glitter polish. I love the different sizes and shapes of the glitter, it makes the glitter a bit more glamorous I think.
I don't have a lot of experience with Essie polishes, other than their base and top coats, but I really enjoy using this polish. It applies well - there is tons of glitter in there so you don't have to apply coat after coat to build it up, BUT it doesn't go on too thick either. You can easily do a simple top coat over any colour you like, or make a glittery gradient, or even just use it on it's own.
This polish dries quickly, and it also doesn't feel too gritty on your nails, so you don't necessarily need an actual top coat on this. It also doesn't take too much more extra effort to remove, like some glitter polishes.
Overall this is a great polish to have because it can be used so many ways, and the quality is excellent.

I recently picked this up in Black Satin. I really love Rimmel's Base and Top Coat, so I figured their actual nail colours should be decent too!
I have only tested this out on my nails for the day to see how it wears, but I'm already impressed. The polish applies perfectly, especially with the brush it comes with, and it looked totally black with just one coat. It's a creamy black, but very deep, and it's super shiny as well! Plus it dried quickly and thoroughly after a few minutes, without using my quick dry top coat, which is pretty important to me when it comes to polish.
I'll definitely be checking out some more of Rimmel's Lasting Finish Pro nail polishes now that I've tried this one. The packaging is great and the polishes seem to be great quality as well, especially for the price.

This Base/Top Coat is great for being such a low price. My favourite thing about this product is the packaging. The bottle is cube shaped, which makes it easy to hold and open. And the brush is great, it's thick but not clumsy, so you can do your nails quickly and neatly.
I found that this worked really well as a base coat - it protects your nails, and keeps your polish looking great and chip-free for days.
I quickly went through my first bottle of this, and unfortunately every time I think of grabbing another bottle, it is sold out! Regardless, I'll keep checking because this stuff is great. Definitely recommend!

I got a sample of this from Neutrogena a while back, and at first didn't really think much of it because I had a few other samples to use up as well. I've really liked every Neutrogena sunscreen I've tried so far, but one thing I enjoy about sunscreens are the tropical scents, and ones I've tried from this brand haven't had that.
I finally got around to trying it and the first thing I noticed was that it smelled AMAZING, like pineapples or something tropical and fruity. It actually smells even prettier than my usual favourites (like Hawaiian Tropic).
Apart from this product having a scent that I now love, it gives great protection against the sun too. I like the formula, it has a creamy, rich consistency but isn't too thick or hard to apply. It goes on white which helps you see spots you've missed, but it quickly melts into your skin and doesn't leave any greasy residue.
The price is a bit higher than some drug store brand sunscreens, at least in my area, but it's one of the better ones I've used, and I think it's important to get a sunscreen you actually like, so you'll use it more often.
