I was sent the Degree Calming Lavender Odour Protect 0% Aluminum Free Deodorant to review for testing purposes and I'm so glad to have had this opportunity because this product is now a new staple in my self-care routine. I put this deodorant to the test right away as soon as I stepped out of the shower. It glided on smoothly and left no visible residue behind on my skin or clothes. The lavender scent is a bit strong at first but it mellows down over the next half hour. It's nice to be able to catch whiffs of the lavender scent as you go about your day. I found this deodorant to be effective on my light activity days only. It helped keep any odour at bay and left me smelling fresh all day. On my more active days, this deodorant lasted about 4 hours tops before I felt the need to jump in the shower. The best part is that this deodorant is highly affordable and won't break the bank like other aluminum-free deodorants tend to. The packaging is also super cute, attractive and the slim shape makes it easy to handle for a smooth application. So if you're shopping around for a deodorant for light days where you don't need too much protection, this is a good alternative for you. #degreealuminumfree #gotitfree -

I'm not one to ever use ointments for cuts and scrapes but since I was sent this free for reviewing purposes, I had to put #BANDAIDxPOLYSPORIN to the test! I was unfortunate enough (or lucky, whichever way you look at it lol) to sustain scrapes to my knees while apple picking so this was the perfect time to try out Polysporin Complete. I applied Polysporin to one knee but not to the other, then sealed both wounds with Band-Aid Skin-Flex bandages. And so the experiment began! I kept a watchful eye on both scrapes and already from Day 1, I could feel that the scrape that had no Polysporin applied to it was a bit more painful and also stung quite a bit. As for the other knee...I couldn't feel a thing! It's like Polysporin Complete numbed the area completely and began healing the scrape right away. By Day 2, Polysporin knee was already looking much better than the one without. By Day 6, that wound had a nice scab around it while the other knee was still in the early stages of healing. No doubt in my mind that Polysporin is the real winner! I have since been using it on everyone in my family and it works amazing on cuts, burns, scrapes and even insect bites. -

This is hands down one of the best bandages I've ever used. Due to an active lifestyle, I'm pretty accident prone and bandages are a staple that I keep a good stock of at all times. These bandages go on effortlessly and super comfortable to wear. They're flexible, stretchy and feel like a second skin. Due to all the frequent handwashing we are all doing nowadays, this bandage didn't budge once and stayed securely in place when wet. Within minutes, the bandage was dry. Amazing! I had peace of mind knowing that my wounds are covered and secured from outside elements. Gone are the days when I had to change my bandages several times a day. I docked one star off because I wish this came in different sizes for different sized wounds. I'm so glad I got this free for testing purposes and will be recommending this to all the accident prone people I know. ;) -

I received this product free for testing purposes and thought the perfect time to try this was during a weekend get together with my fellow caesar lovers. If you love heat and spice, you are going to love this. There is a good balance of jalapeno puree in it and it's made with all natural and clean ingredients. The mixer itself is alcohol-free so it's perfect for even those who choose not to or can't drink. My favourite way to prepare this on a hot summer day was with a bit of ice, lemon juice, pepper and celery salt. Delicious and soooo refreshing! Honestly, the sky is the limit and there's no right or wrong way to use this. The only downside is the price. It was $6.99 for the bottle which is not something I would pay. If it goes on sale, I would grab it. -

I have been doing so much baking during quarantine that I go through butter like water in this household. I was so excited to try a plant based alternative to see how it compared to the usual brands of butter that I buy. My first impression of the Becel Unsalted Plant-Based Brick was that it looks exactly like dairy butter. It melts really fast due to the oils in it so if you need it to stay cold during baking prep, I found that putting it in the freezer for five minutes really helps. I make my own pie crusts and puff pastry so I decided to put this to the test! The butter was very easy to work and mixed in with the dough seamlessly. I honestly could not tell the difference in taste between this and actual butter. My pie crusts and puff pastries came out crispy each and every single time. Although the price is a little bit steep, I will continue to use this in baking for my vegan friends.

One of the best black teas on the market. I used to be loyal to another brand but after discovering this, I've never looked back. I cannot function without high caffeine so black tea has to be bold and strong for me. This tea achieves my desired strength after steeping in boiled water for five minutes. Just mix in some milk and sugar and you have a wonderful treat first thing in the morning to kickstart your day. I've been buying this for years and will continue to do so. -

I have been buying Tazo Zen green tea for as long as I can remember and always have multiple boxes of these crammed in my kitchen cabinet. Green tea has a ton of health benefits so with lemongrass and spearmint added in, it's even better. I tend to shy away from plain green teas because I just can't hack the taste of it. I need my green tea to have other flavours mixed in to make the taste tolerable. I am obsessed with anything lemongrass and spearmint so to have this mixed in with green tea is a bonus. This tea has a very prominent mint flavour with a subtle hint of lemongrass. It actually doesn't taste like green tea at all! So if you're someone who can't drink plain green teas, you will love this. My favourite way to prepare this is in a latte form. I highly recommend you give this a shot. -

I normally never ever buy fruit teas but I happened to come across this at a hotel I was staying at. I decided to try it out because, hey what did I have to lose? So I poured some boiled water over the tea bag, mixed in and a pack of brown sugar and oh my goodness...it was probably one of the best fruit teas I've ever had. I like my teas strong and this is definitely a strong herbal tea. The flavour is very true to its orange taste and full of citrusy goodness. It actually reminds me of an orange creamsicle. In the winters, I love to drink this hot but in the summers, this makes the most amazing iced tea. Just add in some fresh lemon juice and mint leaves for a refreshing drink. The kids also love this! I hope Tazo never discontinues this flavour because no one has been able to make orange tea as good as this. -

I was surprised by how much I actually liked this. I used this for one week and noticed promising results. It goes on light and sinks into the skin plus the addition of SPF 30 is a bonus! I only wish the SPF could be a bit higher. A little goes a long way with this moisturizer and leaves behind no greasy film. It is scented but not so much to the point that it would bother me. My favourite way to use this is under makeup for its brightness boosting and SPF properties.

I love the cute pink dropper bottle this comes in and the way this product can be dispensed hygienically. The texture of the serum is kind of thin and milky. However, I was shocked by how shimmery and scented it was. I did not see any results after one week of using this. It seems like the illuminating effect only lasts for as long as the shimmer is on your skin. I think I will use this as a makeup base when I want a dewy look but I would not use it as a treatment.
