adult acne

Gross, right. Well, i am in my mid 30's and I still break out. I would say that it is mild to moderate (at times) Currently, I am using regular witch hazel astringent after cleansing (I see it in all of the high priced products I have bought), and then applying a Clinique product (an overpriced version of a regular 2.5% benzoyl peroxide lotion). I have tried a salicylic acid (oily!) cream, and it honestly gave me acne where I didn't have any before. Any suggestions? (oh, and I also use a redmond clay mask regularly - even tho there is a lead warning on the back of the product.

I would say it's time to see a dermatologist if you have insurance!

Lipidol Face Oil (the stuff some of us got to review through Chick Advisor a couple months ago) Seriously, it's the best thing that's ever happened to my skin!

Lipidol, eh?

Lipidol Face Oil - I think it's the one thing on this list I've never tried. I seem to have the same issue as the OP. And of course, the worst of the pimples always seem to appear right down the centre of my face!
Thanks for the tip :)

I think you should go see a dermatologist. I had the problem in my mid 20's (which is unusual) I only have a pimple here and there when it's my time of the month but other than that no acne.

In my mid-20's I had a major breakout starting from 1 very big pimple that just wouldn't go away. I gave a dermatologist a vist (glad I did). Apparently the product I was using is not compatible with my face. It is also cause by bacteria (he gave anti-biotics) He told me not to use any product on my face until this clears up. (Including certain cleansers) He told me to use the Spectro Cleanser (it is mild) only! Or, use use water to clean my face.

I must tell I followed the exact instructions and on anti-biotics for 2 weeks. My face cleared up in no time. I'm now in my mid 30's and has never broke out ever since. Only the occasional 1 or 2 during my time of the month.
I've been just washing my face with just water. I use make-up remover wipes to wipe off my make-up and wash with just water.

I say see your dermatologist and try not to put too many things on your face and see what happens.

Try this!

Wash your face at least twice a day with a foaming wash, stay hydrated, apply fuller earth pack twice a week.

My go to....

I use Spectro Gel too. The trick is to leave it on for about 30 seconds before washing off. I've totally seen a difference in my skin

Problem skin.

I'm in my late 40s and have from time to time had problems with acne too. I have started to use the Hair, Nails and skin gummy biotin vitamin. Its really done me well. I don't have problems with my skin. It just takes a couple of months to see the difference. .
I also used the Body shop ginger & clay mask it heats up and feels great on the skin followed by a toner.
