BB Creams vs. CC Creams vs. Tinted Moisturizers help!

on Sep 07, 2014 @ 07:13 pm

I'm interested in trying one but don't know anything about them. I'm looking for something to use instead of foundation because everything I've used always looks cakey and terrible. So I guess my question is,
What do they do? Whats the difference? Which is better? Which brand do you use and why?

Thanks in advance for any help :)

BB cream: also known as Beauty Balm, was first used in Korea by plastic surgeons to give to their patients to cover up scars. BB
creams provide coverage with added skin care benefits like SPF and
anti-oxidants--the list goes on depending on what brand you choose.
They're lighter than foundation but heavier than tinted moisturizers.

generally stands for “color correcting” and the products are meant to
address issues like redness or sallowness (usually with light-diffusing
particles), whereas BB creams are like lighter foundation with a few
skin care benefits thrown in. CC cream is a color corrector and will be
lighter on the skin

Tinted Moisturizer: gives you a bit of color with a moisturizing benefit--the color is usually pretty sheer.

My advice is to go to stores which have testers for BB and CC cream and test out on your skin to feel the texture. They are both good but different brands have different ingredients such as those that has anti aging properties. Choose one that is suitable with your skin needs.
