Best Suggestions for Bikini Line Razor Burn & Irritations?! Ouch!

snazzytank

Any ChickAdvisors out there who occasionally experience irritation along the bikini line from shaving?  Or every once in awhile get a painful "ingrown" hair irritation?  Doesn't happen often - but even using lotion or shaving cream, once in awhile I get the razor burn rash and am wondering if anyone has any suggestions to help with the redness?  I usually just use a bit of witch hazel - but any tricks that make the redness go away faster?  (Besides waxing - lol!)

What I do

Keep the area moisturized.
When you shave, immediately after and throughout the day as needed, apply a moisturizer or lotion. It will help ease the irritation and also keep it softer for when the hair grows back.

After shaving

It's good to use a gentle scrub to help with ingrown hairs. It helps to exfoliate from time to time. Use a light moisturizer or a bit of coconut oil to help calm and ease the area.

Wax!

Ever thought of trying waxing? I'm a recent convert and I can never look back! If not, keep exfoliating (I use a brush for exfoliating) and moisturizing!
